Location: Bandera, TX | I've never been to a barrel clinic, but I have been to two of Craig Cameron's clinics and I'm going again in May. He has helped me to calm my horse down a lot, which in turn has helped me shave off over 1 sec. He makes riding fun and exciting - a lot of different exercises and games. He is a great communicator and does not push any of his products on you. The stuff he tells you makes sense and works. He will also ride your horse if you want him to. There is a max. of 10 people in his class and you are in the saddle all day and get plenty of one on one time. When I first went I was concerned that this would be a waste of money, but already after the first day I felt that I got my money's worth. I have learned more from him in the last six months that I have from many other trainers that I spent a lot more time with. |

Location: Louisiana | There were a lot of posts regarding clinics a couple of months ago. Go to this link to view the thread: http://www.barrelhorseworld.com/forum/thread-view.asp?threadid=2556 If that doesn't work, do a search for Who's barrel clinic have you attended? and make the search for the past 90 days, because it originated in January. |

Location: Bandera, TX | Craig's long weekend clinics (Thur.-Sun) at his place are around $900. The food and accommodations were wonderful. You might catch him cheaper somewhere on the road. I paid $300 for a weekend deal at someone else's place. |

Location: I'm lost - please tell me, I'm not on BHW again!!! | The Sponge Monkeys (now their ghosts since someone made them Gumbo) are putting on a Clinic with Pat Parelli and they are very excited about it. The price is only your Morgage plus you have to buy every single on of their products and your horse is guarenteed to pass the first level after only 7 clinics. |

Location: Gainesville, GA | My first clinic was Lance Graves last May. I enjoyed it and really liked the fact that he rode my horse but I wanted to go to a clinic so I could become a better rider. I've only been running barrels for 2 years so I'm still not that great. Then I went to Lynn McKenzie/Tanner Time clinic in September. It was 3 days and only 15 students. I worked my butt off....it was great. Lynn is a great teacher and the style and science of barrel racing she teaches is great! I started the clinic on a new horse that I had only had about 3 weeks. I ran a 19.7 the first run and left the weekend running a 17.7. I got most improved rider! I was very happy. I just got back this weekend from another Lynn McKenzie clinic. Didnt work as hard at this clinic. It was only 2 days and not with the Tanner Time people but Lynn really works with every student for as long as it takes. She knows alot about horses and I am thankful for her wisdom. I ran my fastest time ever saturday night( a 16.7)......needless to say I was estatic!! But I fell off at the second barrel on Sunday ....totally my fault but I still had a great time and learned alot. If anyone gets the chance to go to the Lynn Mckenzie/Tanner Time Lab...GO........you will not regret it!!!

PP should really be careful cause if alley doesn't finish him off the Sponge Monkeys might make him the primary ingredient in the next batch of gumbo!! |

Location: Florida | When I went to Equus America last year, I watched a Martha Josey clinic. It was pretty informative. There wasn't a lot of one-on-one stuff because of the way it was set up. Everything she said made a lot of sense. At the end she ran her horse through the pattern without a bridle. The cost of the clinic was included with the admission price. |
