Location: Phoenix | Β What is the supplement (or grain, OR grain plus supplement) that you've used that really turned things around and made you notice a difference in your horse? Appearance, tone, how they feel...What product did you use before that didn't impress you? Thanks for replies...I'm torn between like 4 different products!! |

Location: In a happy place | I am not a believer in a lot of supplements. However I do feed Forco. I think it makes their hair coat look good and it is a prebiotic so it helps with digestion. I also feed Formula 11 and it helps with numerous things. Joints per se and I think it also helps with their hair coat. Other than that they get whole oats, coastal hay and a little alfalfa when I can afford it. |

Location: NW MT | that young mare I got in March was in pitiful condition - underweight, poor hair coat, lethargic, and obviously had ulcers. Got the ulcers cleaned up, power packed her, had the dentist do her (horrid) teeth, and put her on rolled barley, soaked alfalfa cubes (ours are fed together so can't have alfalfa hay due to 2 of them that can't have it), Fastrack, and Animal Element. She looks like a different horse & acts like it too. Not sure if there was any "one" thing that did it, would say it was a combination of everything that has her looking & feeling like a very healthy horse |

Location: Phoenix | For those that feed Triple Crown Senior....what is it about the Senior vs. the others that you like so much? Was considering the Bluebonnet feeds but there would be a commute to get it and with Triple Crown there wouldn't be...I've always wanted to get my horses on TC but it was never close-by. It's in the same town that my brother is in now, so that's a plus.
Keep 'em coming. |

Back when we had a feed store that carried it I fed it and I liked the results. What I liked about it is that it didn't have any "by-products".
I tried to pull my barrel horse off of Total Equine feed for about 3-4 months. I wound up having to put him back on it. He just didn't do nearly as well off of it. Weight stayed good, but energy levels, feet, skin & coat just wasn't nearly as good.
As far as the one supplement, the one supplement I won't do with out is flax. It just helps their coat & feet, and helps with stamina too well for them to be without it.
Alfalfa is another thing that I won't do without mainly because it helps with weight. |

| My sister and I used to run the same times as one another. One summer towards August my mare started running half a second off, so I was pretty frustrated. I put her on Cosequin and Yucca and not long after my mare was back to clocking again. |

This is my feed program too with the exception of my gelding that can't handle the starch, he gets Ultium. I do the PP CJ. |
