| I have a 9 yr old mare, Polar Express, that I am leasing out for a 2014 breeding, and I was wondering if I could get some opinions and insight into bloodlines that would cross well with this mare. Her sire is Dash To Chivato and dam is A Legal Alternative who is out of Zevi. Polar was on the track as a 2 & 3yr old, won over $10k and earned a 95 S.I, she retired sound and as a broodmare.
I know the bloodlines of these barrel bred QH, however, I do not know how the certain bloodlines maturity level, attitude, train-ability and disposition is.
The mare has pretty decent conformation, but I would like to see her toned down, both height and width, a nicer head and better feet.

| Ever heard of zippy zevi dasher? http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/zippy+zevi+dasher He is bred very similar to your mare. This website http://www.synergystables.com/zippy_zevi_dasher.html has some of his best performing offspring. I would look at the breeding of some of those horses. Kaylon Rodriguez in flordia has a really nice mare named Madams Bit of Fame http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/madams+bit+of+fame that really seems like a nice mare. She is out of a dash for perks mare. Hopefully this gets you started |

| I will respectfully disagree with Whiteboy. I would never cross a Dash To Chivato out of a Zevi daughter back onto a stallion also out out of a Zevi daughter. Beduino and a double dose of Zevi would not be my idea of a calm minded horse.
If I was going for a barrel horse, I would look into Firewater Finale. Mainly because of his being out of a Bully mare. The Bully crossed on Beduino and Zevi tend to make a better minded horse than most bloodlines. |

| I am with SKM if you are looking to keep it and that's what you like then ok. But if you even remotely are thinking about selling this baby I would run from Ok to Canada barefoot before I took a second look at a horse that has Beduino and Zevi on it. And I am not saying that because I am a stallion owner. I just flat out don't like them. I had a horse sent to me and I had a hate-could tolerate relationship with him. He was a TALL gangly black thing that was as stupid as a road lizard when not in a arena. Thing is he was also a very quick learner. Got him going on the pattern then got his papers. He was a own son of ZZD. The next day going around the first barrel he decided to stop and flip over with me. |

Haha, I wasn't reccomending zippy zevi dasher as an option. I was pointing out that he has some get that have been pretty successful, and she may want to try duplicating a similar cross and the resulting success because her mare is bred like zippy zevi dasher! I belive he is in Brazil anyways. |

| Also look up Kendra Dicksons' Zevi Shot The Moon- He is by a martha six moons/streakin six sire and out of a zevi mare. Really a nice horse that was running and smokin all the hot shots earlier this year. So I might also look for a MSM/SS stallion if there is even one out there anymore. |

Location: East Texas | I am always odd person out when it comes to Zevi and Beduino breeding. Both of my mares are Beduino bred. Both are proven 1d horses in the Texas area. The one that I just bought is by a son of Sticks and Stones thats out of a Beduino daughter, and is Zevi/ Easy Jet on the bottom. My other mare is a Royal Quick Dash. Also my futurity filly that is in training with our trainer and placed in AZ, made it back to the Diamonds and Dirt finals, and would have won the Lucky Dog futurity but tipped a barrel is out of a Beduino mare. I will agree that those bloodlines arent for everyone. But crossed on the right stud you mare should produce a nice colt. I would go with something like Firewater Ta Fame, Firewaterontherocks, BHR Frenchies Socks or A Smooth Guy. |

What a great idea! When I first looked up this mares pedigree, I automatically looked up ZZD's because It sounded like his. Thanks everyone for the insight! I wish I had the $6k for Frenchman's Guy.lol. However, there is a young, relatively unproven, stallion a couple hours from me that seems like nice bloodlines to cross. His name is Firewater Jet Moon sired by Firewater Frost, out of a Marthas Six Moons mare.
I will start doing my research on these bloodlines y'all suggested =)
