| I got to see Flossie, saaranch and Sorrel Horse Ranch. I took off work for the first time in a long time, and got to kick back and enjoy watching my kid ride one of my favorite horses.
Just for fun, I hunted down the link to the video of his first ride to compare their looks to now.

Here is their second run which was 1.4 off the fastest time. I wish this colt hadn't gotten hurt and he might have been ready for the futurity.

Thank you. I have to confess, I am often jealous of those who can mount their kids on trained horses. She has worked so long to have one to haul and things keep happening. This colt is the one that was in the trailer that was hit broadside in January and she missed all summer on him. I do think it's cool that she will be able to mount herself, but I wish I had been able to buy her something while these colts are growing up. In about 3 years, she should have a trailer full of nice ones though. |

Don't tempt me. LOL I have a nasty itch that's leading me south and it gets worse every time I talk to Arlinda. That filly would be the first one on the trailer! |

Listen, when I see Kinsey at these races around here whether it is now or in 3 years I will appreciate that fact that she has put in the hard work. It is what will keep her running and happy for years to come. I know many that were given some rockets and they don't even ride anymore. Hang in there with her, y'all have done a great job. |

Location: In a happy place | Hey I sure was glad to see you and Kinsey this weekend. I feel so bad because I wasn't feeling well enough to come to the barrel race. I am so proud of Kinsey and Treis. She has done such a nice job with her colts. I agree with above poster that said by Kinsey learning how to train her own she will probably keep running for many years to come. And when I think about so many that were bought those high dollare rockets they did quit pretty quick. Hadn't ever thought about it that way. You will never know how much it meant to me for y'all to take time to come see me. And that really was a pretty run and to think Treis really hasn't been that many places and never to anything that big! But remember he has always been a favorite of mine. Wish I hadn't gotten sick and I could have ridden him. |

Ummm, I also vote that you all start getting ready for the $10k added pole race for Diamonds and Dirt as well as ANHA's next year too. You all train some insanely nice pole horses and I would LOVE to watch you or Kinsey run them. And then I would be jealous.

Please understand that the way Kinsey has grown up is the way ALL kids should grow up. It makes for good horsemen/women how know and appreciate the value of a good horse. I RESPECT you and APPLAUD you for the program ya'll have and the job you and she have done! Keep up the great work, that kid and that colt are a great combination and I see great things to come in the future for her and those colts! |
