Location: Four Corners Colorado | Are their any cremello or perlino barrel or race horses out there? Or studs out there?
Why don't we see them in the arena more or on the track?

Their out there I'm sure. I have seen a few at barrel races, its just that theres not that many that have been bred to run. |

Location: Deep South | I have done a search for Cremello studs recently to see what was available. I was interested to know if there was any that were really bred for barrels or were performing well, because well... color sells. I honestly couldn't find anything. There is one very young, local stud that is Frenchman's Guy/Oklahoma Fuel bred. They're not standing him yet though, and those lines are a couple of generations back.
Maybe they are out there though and just aren't advertised. |

Location: north dakota | I have a perlino weanling filly by La Jollas Gold. She's not all race bred on the on the dams side though(dam goes back to Sun Frost and FDD) I plan on keeping her and and starting her on the barrels.
I have the dam who also is a perlino and plan on breeding her to our Tres Seis son coming up this spring. She currently is bred to a son of Special Effort. The nice thing about her is she's will throw color.

I think it takes a special person to be attracted to this color. I personally don't like a cremello but that is just my opinion. Of course, I have a lot of friends that don't lik them either. |

Location: Off to a barrel race... | There is a cremello gelding that competed at the IBRA National Finals and at Congress named I See the Ghost. He is ridden by Brian Carmen usually a 1D horse from what I have seen of him. |

Location: Four Corners Colorado | Β I wonder if they all end up with "color only breeders" and we end up missing out on them. I know if I had a race bred cremello or perlino I'd do my best to get it out there and hopefully winning. |

| Romeo white feathers of Broadus MT. His colts are elgible to the five state. I have two full sisters from him and a dash for cash azure te mare. My oldest is a 2009. I'm going to futurity her. But to be honest with you I'd like to see him crossed with more race bred mares. They turn to beat hell and have great dispositions I just would like a little more speed. But because I can't have brood areas I buy his because they are really nice overall horses. And they are all cowey so if you want a rodeo horse with color for the family his offspring work for that.

I understand this, I'm not particuarly attracted to them either. But people are HUGE fans of pallys and buckskins, and most, NOT all, but most will buy a pretty pal/buckskin prospect over a pretty bay/sorrel given that other factors are the same.
That's why I was curious to know why there isn't a proven/popular cremello stud already standing. |

| I don't know of any off the top of my head but I did high school rodeo with a girl who rode a pretty wicked one on the pattern. My bay horse was TERRIFIED of it! He wouldn't get with in 20 feet of that pearlino gelding! |

He sure is pretty, but I sure would not want to have him here in our South Texas heat and trying to keep him clean. My horses sweat alot and love to roll and roll and roll and play in their water. He looks like alot of work |

Β Are their any cremello or perlino barrel or race horses out there? Or studs out there?
Why don't we see them in the arena more or on the track?
Because for the most part they are conformational train wrecks. Besides, can they even see out of those ugly, squinty eyes? |
