Location: Bandera, TX | We had the "where to watch the NFR", "where to shop", and "what else to do while there" post. Haven't seen the where do you like to eat post? From good buffets, to good deals to fancy dining?
We had the seafood buffet at the Rio before and that was ok. We also ate at Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill at the Caesar's Palace and that was too expensive for the food. I had expected more.
Where else do y'all like to eat? |

| I like the food at Cabo Wabo Cantina and the PBR Rock Bar and Grill (near each other at Planet Hollywood). Also - the food at Toby Keith's Bar and Grill (in Harrah's) is super good too. None of it is cheap but I thought for the cost, these places provided good food and a lot of it. The food at Margaritaville is good but a bit overpriced in my opinion. It is in the Flamingo. |

Location: Oregon | I know there are several great places but I loved Mon Ami Gabi which is right on the strip and across from the Belagio. You can sit right outside, have a great dinner and watch the Belagio fountain show. I also loved everything I tried at Wolfgang Pucks restaurant in the Venetian and since I’m a Mexican food addict my favorite place is Taqueria Canonita also in the Venetian. You can get a table right along the Grand Canal and watch the gondolas go by with their serenading gondoliers while drinking margaritas. Can’t wait!! |

Location: Bandera, TX | I forgot to add that my absolute favorite restaurant is the Italien place at the Venetian. The one on the piazza. You can wrap a trip to Italy in with your stay at Vegas. I can highly recommend that - especially after shopping at The Sands next door. |

There is a really good litte Mexican place right on the strip that has an indoor/outdoor setting, I can not remember what it is called. |

Location: Central Texas | The Peppermill which is up by the Riviera and Circus Circus was really good. You get tons of food and it's cheap compared to everything else in Vegas. I was just in Vegas for 9 days and didn't discover this place until our last night. Wish I would have found it on day 1!! |

Hash House is GREAT!! The chicken and waffles are amazing. Diablo's at the Monte Carlo is really good; we ate there twice on our last trip. Even if you eat Mexican a lot regularly, it's worth it to go there.
The Palm was without a doubt one of the most awesome meals of my life! The service was incredible; made me feel like a millionaire (though clearly I'm not; hubby's eyes bugged out a little when he saw the bill. Haha!)
If you do try for the Palm, be sure not to get it confused with the hotel. |

| MGM- Emerils Seafood is amazing, and Wolfgang Puck has some great eats. The spaghetti, brick oven pizza, and truffle chips there are wonderful.
Bellagio- If you want a fancy steak dinner hit up Prime! The food is to die for and the atmosphere is some of the best in town. Its pricey but way worth it. it sits out over the foutains. Also good here is Olives by Todd English. They have good italian food. also site out on the water.
Aria- If you are into Tapas, Julian Serrano is the place to go. They have a great selection. We are staying here this year so excited to try some of their new places.
Mirage- I think their food choice here is sub par, but BLT Burger is pretty good if you want a custom burger. and they do have a brand new steakhouse that is supposed to be pretty good.
Golden Nugget- Vic and Anthonys is a great place for a steak and some old downtown flair. Dont go there too often because it is a chain, but its a very nice restraunt. They also have The Grotto, which is italian with some great traditional type dishes. If you want good Asian good Lily is good here too. they have traditional seating or grill seating.
My favorite Italian food place in Vegas is Allegro at the Wynn... enourmous amounts of food and great starters.
I am not a buffet person, but there are some good ones. The one at Harrahs is oddly my favorite... Odd because it is no where near the nicest in town, just good food.
For standard good time bar food I would reccommend Toby Keiths or Gilley's BBQ. Both of them are chains but serve really good food.
The food at the Convention Center (Cowboy Christmas) was horrible last year so im hoping they have done something about that with opening up the Fan Fest a little more. |
