Some Kind of Trouble

My boss said we can pick up a Keurig coffee maker for the office, but I never knew there were a million different ones.  Which one do you have, think is the best, and anyone know where they will be on a great Black Friday sale??  Thanks!

The best deal I've seen is WalMart will have the K40 for $98 plus a $10 gift card back.

QVC had them last weekend for 150.00
on six easy payment plan
it had all the bells and whistles and came
with 70 coffees and other odds and ends

I was tempted but didn't, Wal Mart does have
some out for 99, but the water reservoir is smaller

which in my case woudn't be a problem since it's just me
the larger reservoir one is the one QVC had

We have the one that is NOT the K cups and my husband loves it but the cups are not as easy to find as the Kcups.  I don't drink coffee or rarely hot chocolate so I have not used the thing yet.  Sorry I couldn't help more.

I found a 20% off coupon in the Better Homes and Gardens for Bed Bath and Beyond.  I'd really like one of the personal ones for a gourmet cup of coffee on a cold Sat afternoon

You will want one that uses the K cups just for the convenience of buying replacements. We had the 40 for a couple of years and wanted more bells and whistles. My wife took the 40 to work and we got a 60 or 70 for home. It's whatever the top of the line with K cups is. It was $169 at Walmart. Main thing we wanted was the temp control but was disappointed to find that it's only a 5 degree adjustment.  Also does 5 or 6 different size cups. Holds more water too.

If many people will use it then definately get the max size water container. On that 40 we were filling it up almost everyday with just 2 people.

I have the mini Keurig... it's perfect since I live byself.   My sister has the large one that has the water reservoir since her and bil drink coffee all day.  She also bought another one and I think it's got more bells and whistles.   She got them both off of QVC save about $75.

The Platinum is the best one, I believe.  That's what we have.  Then we get the K-cups at Costco and they come out to thirty-something cents a piece.  They are Cameron brand and they come in boxes of 80 which are 8 sealed packages of 10 each.  Best deal I've ever seen.....

Thanks!  Think I'm going to try to snag one of the Platinum models that Walmart has on Black Friday... $169 with $20 gift card.

If you order your K-cups from www.keurig.com and join the "rewards" program on that website you get a 15% discount on orders and free shipping if the order is over $40.  They have some K-cups that come in up to 80 cups per box -- pretty sweet deal.  Plus the variety / brands selection is HUGE.  And you can earn points for major discounts on brewers and accessories (makes for nice gifts).... and you will receive emails for great discounts on K-cups.  We order from the website for our office -- and I order from the website for home, too.

My parents got me the "fancy" Keurig last Christmas, the Vue (I think that's what it's called). While it is full of modern wonderfulness with a touch screen, the K cups are a different size and not all of the regular K cup flavors are available for the Vue--in fact I have to hunt down the Vue ones over by the machines themselves, which is a pain. So, I would make sure that whichever one you pick uses the standard K cup. Also, I have not been that impressed with the quality of the coffee either--it always seems watery no matter what setting I put it on.

I am not impressed with the Vue cup thing either.  We prefer the K-Cups, too.

That must be the one we have now. It's platinum color. She liked that because it matched the SS appliances.

The vue looked like a nicer machine but it doesn't use the K cups and all the stores around here only stock the K cups.
