I feel all warm and fuzzy inside now and I will sleep better tonight, because the Norwegian army has decided to "go green" by abstaining from eating meats on Fridays. They do this because it is said that livestock accounts for 20% of "greenhouse gasses" - basically a euphemism for cow farts. This will reduce their meat consumption by 150 tons, and this new move has drawn applause from environmental groups around the world. If you assume an average cow yields at least 500 lbs of meat, that means 4 cows yield 1 ton. That means 600 fewer cows get butchered a year. I'm sure PETA is orgasmic over this as well. No doubt about it, this will make a huge difference. Can we all sing Kumbaya? Idiots.
Come to think of it, maybe that's why I am freezing my ass off in 12 degrees up here?

You have to wonder how these people function.  My dog has much more common sense.
Do we even have global warming anymore?  If anyone has some extra global warming, please send it up here, because I'm freezing my ass off.  I'm feeling so desperate, I had a can of pork and beans  for dinner tonight in the hopes that I would fart like a horse and maybe warm the climate a little up here.

I'm just wondering..... Do cattle create more greenhouse gases by standing in a field or sitting on a plate?

Are those stuffed mushrooms, Doc?

I just don't get their twisted logic.  So, instead of eating those 600 cows, they are standing around farting....and creating global warming.  Seems to me they should be eating MORE animals, not less, if they want to get rid of all that cow flatus.

Heck.....they should all just become Catholics....we didn't eat meat on Friday for thousands of years.......I didn't realize that I was helping greenhouse gases.....who knew?Β

So it's all your fault, Norma!  If it weren't for you Catholics, we wouldn't have so many cows and global warming wouldn't be a problem!

They blame corn for all that gas! Grass fed cattle all the way! Ok, but we also want to buy out that fancy ranch and build houses for the growing population, and we want free range grass fed cattle! HAH now how does THAT work? People just don't get it. I agree, no Global Warning here either! 14 degrees without including wind chill! BURRRR!

It's cold here in Houston also.  It's only 72 right now. By the time I go out to throw my steak on the grill, I'll probably have to put a sweatshirt on.

I think I chopped up the stems, sautee'd them in butter with chopped green onions, and something else.  I stuffed the mushrooms with it and heaped Mozarella on top then grilled them alongside the ribeye.

72 degrees and you are thinking about a sweatshirt?  You sissy.  I did chores in a windbreaker and sweater.  It's brutal up here.

It says 14 degrees here right now with wind chill of 0.  Feels a lot colder than that now.  I can't even ride because when it's this cold I rely on snow over this rock hard frozen craggy ground.  It's like a moonscape.

I'm remembering an episode of Two and a Half Men where Charlie was dating Mia the vegetarian and desperately trying to eat her diet.....finally when she caught a whiff of cheeseburger on Charlie's breath and scolded him Charlie threw a fit and said he could no longer tolerate "medallion of artichoke with lawnmower sauce. "  Very funny scene.
