Location: East Tennessee but who knows?! | I started back into a routine a couple of weeks ago. I'm only doing 30 mins 3-4x a week of walking/jogging and have just now worked up 2.25 miles in the 30 minutes so nothing extremely stenuous.
I haven't changed my eating so I'm not on a diet. I normally get protein (eggs or meat or peanut butter) 3 times a day. I drink Soy milk as well and eat plenty of salt and carbs (potatoes). I get in around 50 ounces of water a day and have started adding the Smart water or zero vitamin water with electrolytes (140mg potassium) to that so I'm hydrated.
Even though I'm getting the electrolytes I'm having muscles cramps in everywhere from my toes to my arms when I bend them just right. I've always had a sporadic problem with muscle cramps but this time it's a lot worses. I just barely tighten my toes or reach the wrong way for something and my muscles sieze up.
What am I missing in my diet? |

| I have lots of problems with cramps. You need about 2x the amount of water you are currently getting. Plus as others have mentioned on bananas. |

Location: CA | You also probably need CALCIUM. A lot of people don't realize that your muscles also need calcium to function properly not just potassium and electrolyte type drinks. You can eat 10 bananas and still have cramping issues if you need calcium. |

Location: East Tennessee but who knows?! | My blood work always shows I'm low on calcium. You guys may be on to something.
As far as water, it's rare that I can choke down that much water. I think I'm half camel.
I try to drink more, and some days are better than others, but unless I eat pizza I don't get thirsty. |

| Silk Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk is what I drink to get my calcium. It has 50% of your recommended daily value in one cup and only 30 calories! I just sounded like a commercial, didn't I? |
