Location: Central California		Ringbone troble and caring for it depends on how bad it is and the age of the horse. My husbands good cow horse started showing signs at age 18, with proper foot care and little tlc he live to 32. My shoer was very important in keeping Bugs as comfortable as possible. In the end it was not the ringbone that got him, it was his hips, they just gave out.
