I'm not going but I will definitely be watching!

The half sister to my Shazoom mare Ohmigosh is running in the Juvenile. her name is Dashin Czar- she's a Tres Seis out of Dashin La Jolla. Jolene Montgomery is running her!

Then the full sister to my mare Reckless Lucy has a colt, Lucien is on Fire (Firewater Dancer X Lucy Lucille) running in the futurity- Lance Graves I believe is running him.

Lucy's half sister Levin Lucille has a baby running in the futurity too- Famouslassdance, Sarah Withers is running her.

Then there's also 5 Firewater Ta Fames running between the juvenile, futurity, and derby!

I also saw a several Stoli get and grand get entered between the juvenile, futurity, and derby- which is awesome because I really like my Stoli mare and hope they keep gaining momentum in the barrel pen.

One of these days I will have one of my own in the juvi/futurity/derby….but as of now I am going to cheer on my horses' relatives! LOL

I glanced through the draws and I know there are BBs going or bred horses who are going, so share your ties to the event!

I was excited but it looks like the only thing that I entered that will get to run is the one I just sold!  Bold And Famous.
Three And Out, the derby horse I had entered that had been winning/placing at the futurities all fall, had chips taken out of her stifle a little over a week ago.
And Famous Barbie Doll has been off/on sore from a hock fracture that healed but became arthritic.  Not sure it's worth a long drive to take a chance on her having a good day or a bad day even though she's been clocking in the 1D/2D the past 2 weeks.  I never know when she's going to be sore.
Oh well, I will be cheering from afar.

I can't wait to watch it some nice horses running this year, and I can't wait for next years either. I sold my sweet little filly to Jolene Montgomery, and she is getting her ready for the next one. Super excited

Can someone explain the difference in a Juvenile Futurity and a Regular Futurity?

Juvenile is for 3 year olds who will be 4 in 2014. Futurity is for those who are already 4.

I guess that makes 3 of us. Its an epidemic then with all of these horses having surgery! Β I don't know if mine will be ready for DDBHC. It'd be fun to go but only time will tell if I will have anything back in shape by then. Plus I'll have lots of late fees if I did go. Β

Two of Vegas's 1/2 siblings are running there. Fame Came Quick with Pete Oen in the futurity and GRC Paint Me Quick in the juvi with Alona James. I'm thinking there is the possibility of there being 4 of Quick's babies there next year.

We will be there all week. We have two in the futurity, Cruzin Beduino and SV Magnolia Cartel. Also a colt that we raised will be in the Derby (SV Pass Em Fire), he won a go round at the Juvenile two years ago. And a colt out of the same mare as the derby horse will run in the Juvenile. We didnt breed him, we sold an embryo out of that mare to Danny Ray, but we are still super excited to see him. And a 4yo that we bred by Born Ta Be Famous is running there, UX Sweet Vanila Fame. She clocked the fastest time in the BBR Futurity long go. Its going to be an awesome week!

I'm jumping on the thread with an OT question and I hope I don't get blasted.  Is the BFA being webcasted?  Also, and this is the scary question so please don't yell at me.....when is Claytons colt running so I can possibly watch online?

I'm always excited for the BFA. I get no sleep for a while, as I watch the BFA, stop to watch the entire night from the NFR, then come back and watch what I missed from OKC on replays, but it's always a super fun week!

I haven't looked at the rules for this year's derby but last year I looked into entering it late but just couldn't justify paying the late fees. At that point my mare had fell at a pro rodeo and was just coming back from a stifle injury so I didn't chance it. This year she'll be sound but I haven't even thought about entering anything until I get back on her again.

It is webcast and you can check the draws all out on the BFA website and see who is running what.

I can't wait! I have one in the futurity, Duck N Hustle. She is by my old stud Rhythm And Bugs and out of Earlene Jet. I have 2 by my new stud, Jets Last Payday in the sale. Jettin Red Devil, no. 16, and Dawns Payday, no. 108. Mikki Sawyer will be riding Duck N Hustle for me. She trained her, and I know she will do a great job riding he for me in her first futurity.

I Just looked and the derby doesn't require a payment until Jan. It's $400 for the derby so it might be a huge leap to think my mare will be ready..
