Location: Florida.. | Hope you and your family had a great thanksgiving and safe travels..
my mom cooks turkey. one year she had baby lamb.and one year prime rib.. one year ham.but this year my son cooked turkey so my mom will have turkey this year..oh this is christmas day.. the eve of we go to church so simple things..

Location: WV | Sometimes a Christmas dinner, just depends on who's Christmas we are celebrating. We do three different gatherings with family. It used to be five but some have passed away.  |

Location: lone star state | We go to Christmas eve church service as well. Then home for fajitas or brisket that can be prepared before and feed a large family quickly and easily. |

Location: ND | Christmas eve is always prime rib, baked potatoes, a bunch of salads & awesome homemade cheesecakes at my aunt & uncles. Then Christmas day is a traditional turkey dinner at my parents. |

Location: lexington KY | We snack on Christmas Eve, since we do all the cooking for the family on Christmas Day. We have sausage balls, country ham and biscuits and a ton of candy. We always have plenty left over, so that is breakfast as well. Then a huge meal on Christmas Day. |

Location: Southwest Minnesota | Christmas Eve traditional supper in my family is Chili and Oyster Stew. For my hubby's family (who is very Norwegian) it is Lutefisk and Ham. I would not recommend Lutefisk to anyone...it's the nastiest gelatinous crap I've ever had to eat. His family's tradition is also that you have to eat a bite of it, witnessed by someone else, in order to get your presents. One year I told them to keep my presents, I wasn't eating it and his sisters cornered me and force fed me. I was caught off guard, that WILL NOT happen again. Oh, and they also have Lefse and Mashed Potatoes. |

Location: Randolph, Utah | We always do shrimp or some kind of seafood. Christmas Day is always unpredictable because we usually don't know where we are going until that morning, but this year I am pushing to stay home and either have smoked turkey or prime rib. |

YUCK! My hubby is also Norwegian....and he talks of eating this nasty stuff growing up. No way would I even attemp to try this. |

Location: Florida | We grill steaks and have baked potatoes, biscuits and honey, some home grown veggies and some yummy dessert :) and play a $10 gift game where everyone draws a number! Then one person each year is designated to come up with some games to play as well :) Last year was minute to win it and oh my starts was it HILARIOUS! I have a crazy family but this Thanksgiving we just dubbed ourselves "above average." Aka lunatics. Hahaha MERRY CHRISTMAS! |

Location: Kansas | Man all of you guys have amazing christmas dinners!!! We normally cook honey ham, deer stew, lots of mashed potatoes and homeade gravy, tons of pies....pretty much everything we would cook at thanksgiving. |

Location: Tx | For Christmas Eve we keep it super simple. Breakfast is oatmeal or eggs, lunch is salad and sandwhich and dinner we always go to my sisters home to make our cookies for Santa so she usally just has something quick and easy for us. The trick is to never leave any leftovers on Christmas Eve becasue we always have so much to eat on Christmas and the day after.
ETA: it also depends on my husbands family... they dont have any "traditions" so sometimes they will do their Christmas on Christmas Eve but typically it is the weekend before. |

Location: North Dakota | We eat frozen pizza!! Yuck! It became a tradition. I don't even remember why LOL! Since we have turkey for Thanksgiving we will cook steaks or something like that for Christmas Day! |

Location: The end of the Earth, SE AR | Christmas Eve is always pizza.
Its been that way since I can remember and I'm an old lady now. When I was little we'd go out for pizza, but now that I live in the sticks, I either going to make my own or doctor up a frozen pizza.
I wish our town had Christmas Eve services like they did when I was growing up. |
