| What bloodlines have the most ability, sounds mind, conformation...ect. I want to breed my mare next year so I'm doing my homework. My biggest concern is healthy conformation and sound, easy going mind & heart. Those are much more important to me that ability/talent... Yada yada |

Location: Kansas | I was actually talking about this with a guy I work with who use to breed. His choice was Dinero because he puts a good mindset on his colts, as well as that "do anything" athletic ability. |

Location: Oklahoma | I love my Mr TT Pacific horses. I have two... A Stallion who will be standing for the first year in 2014 and a 2 year old filly. My stallion has everything I personally look for. Heart, temperment, color, disposition and conformation. He has done everything I've ever thrown at him. I've ridden him all over, hauled him all over the US and ridden him in a hotel ball room full of people.

Location: Texas | Most of the young ones I have ridden have been off the track. I would take a BARN FULL of Stolis if they were like my mare was. She had 3 outs on the track as a 2 year old and then turned out. i got her when she turned 5 but i don't think she had much riding done. she is SUPER light. honestly had I not bought her specifically to breed her to first down french, with the breeding already paid for, I would have put her on the pattern and competed on her. She's so smart.
I then have started a shazoom out of a streakin la jolla daughter. she had 9 outs on the track and i got her as a 3 year old. she felt more like an OTT horse than the Stoli, probably because she ran for 2 years and raced more times. honestly it only took 3 weeks to get most of the "track" out of her. she still has her moments and isn't quite as light as i think she could be if she werent raced.. but she was super easy to put on the barrels. I got her July of her 3 YO year, by April of her 4YO year I was entering her.. she was top of 2D at the end of her 4YO year and was running top of 2D- 3 tenths off her 5YO year until we found an OCD in her stifle. I am going to get back on her this week I believe. I have not heard the same about other Shazooms so I wouldn't just jump to get another. I've been told she is more of the exception than the rule about them. I sure love her though.
The next baby I have right now is a Rock Solid Jess X First Down Dash daughter. She is 2 years old and we bought her in November. I've been in school so I have only ridden her a couple times, but she is amazing. whoever broke her broke her well. she is very green but she learns FAST. Not to mention she is in your pocket and just calm natured. she was in racing training but I don't think they did much with her.
A few of my friends have dinero babiesβ¦based on their experiences and what I've seen I am not sure I want one. They keep joking that they will have a good horse when it's 8, or 14.. LOL. When I watch stingray it sure makes me want one, but I think I would have to breed a very special, EARLY maturing mare to him.

As far a babies go- I bred my Stoli mare to first down french and so far- I love him. he has excellent conformation so far. he is only a weanling but I think he will stay balanced. He is sweet, calm, and everything from halter breaking to leading to loading in a trailer, trimming feet, has been a breeze.
I have a confederate leader filly who is also a weanling. halter breaking her was more stressful than the colt- she didn't want much to do with it. she still gives you a wild eye if you go to put a halter on her but is a friendly filly. she leads better than the colt and picked that up faster than he did. she had check ligament surgery and was an angel for all the bandage changes, feet trimmings, etc⦠my vet said she was the best behaved foal he's had to mess with. my farrier trims her by himself and i think just has her stand loose (well he trims the colt by himself too). Her temperament I think is going to be hotter than the colt. she is a gritty baby and i think it will carry over when she's older.
for 2014 we have a first down french and a firewater ta fame due. I cannot WAIT for those! I would highly consider either stallion for what you are wanting to do. |

| Two of my absolute favorites for everything you listed are Firewater Finale and Mighty Mind Bender. In the last 2.5 years I've had 5 colts out of Firewater Finale (yeah I have a "thing" for them ) and ALL of them have had phenominal minds and want to please. Very user friendly with PLENTY of speed and athletic ability.
My first experience with MMB is my 3 yr old filly. She is just flat awesome in mind, body and ability. I would literally buy a whole trailer full of them *if* I could find them. This past summer I took her to a horsemanship clinic where I entered her in the basic class. Clinician was so impressed with her he suggested I take her to the advanced class also. She's soooo fun to ride. |

Yup. I had a Dinero filly. She was gorgeous, built thick and had a great, quiet mind but she was in no hurry to get anywhere. Extremely laid back to the point of lazy. She had talent but also had a lot of maturing to do yet. |

More information about your mare would really help. While open ended questions can bring out an interesting variety of information generally, on here it sometimes just brings out the "list my friends' horses" syndrome.
Have to say I admire your priorities though. I wish more breeders had them! |

Ok a little more about my mare:
Conformation:
-15.1 hh tall
-big head
-only conformation flaw is she toes out a little on the back end and is prone to having mid-high withers
-she has a balanced body (front end-hind end)
-good feet, thick bones
-short back
-sorrel w/ big blaze & rear socks
Personality:
-best minded horse I have ever had or seen in my life
-the older she has gotten (09') the "snappier" she has gotten in her movements under saddle.
-matured very fast naturally
-was a dream to train. I only have to reward her once for doing something right and she has it
Papers:
TOP- goes back to Peponita & Bediuno
BOTTOM- goes back to Doc O Lena & Go Man Go
(just to clarify because it may or may not come up- I don't care if anyone does or does not like her papers)
Thank you everyone!!!

| A friend of mine owns a double bred Leo stallion and I have one of his babies and will be buying a barn full more. Best minded mare I have ever rode and a ton of athletic ability and more try than you can imagine and she is only 7. This stallion has a big performance record of his own in the reining, pole and barrel arena and his get are racking up big performance records to match his own. www.flatenranch.com - slide by leo.... I also have a Driver baby (Diamond's Perscription) on the ground this year and everyone that sees him says the exact same thing "WOW" comes out of their mouth followed up with a ton of questions on his breeding and his daddy. My Leo mare is just so very quiet and so very sane. Handles anything and everything I throw at her with a maturity unrivaled by any OTT horse I have owned. Happy Shopping. |

Location: Montana | Ha! You made me laugh with your comment about not caring if someone doesn't like her papers! I figure no really good horse has bad papers (might not have famous papers) but lots of bad horses have good papers. That's just the nature of the breeding game.
I like that Leo stud - he's good looking.
Just based on my preference, I would avoid doubling up that Beduino in the pedigree. Clearly, it's working for her but I wouldn't go get any more of that.
The next thing is to decide if you want all run or not. If you are raising the colt to sell, I'd say yes on that. If you are raising it for yourself, then it's a matter of your preference. |

Location: Wyoming | Check out Lions Share Of Fame. His babies are very very nice and he stamps them. I have had my eye on him for a long time, I bred a mare to him the first year he stood but the baby died. I'm most likely going to try and buy a 5 year old out of him eventually because I'm tired of waiting for babies to grow up and must have one!!

| I like the Mr TT Pacific horses, I really like the looks of Triple Vodka, Honors Abounding is who I'm crossing my cowbred mare on. I love the DFP and FG horses. Perks firewater flit is nice, Guys Easy Jet, First Down French and I know I am forgetting a few. I really like my Blazin Jetolena to but may not be the best cross with yours being alot of cow.
