I bought a snaffle/hack combo bit and put itonmy filly and the nose is super tight. I took it offand hung it up and formed the bend better and tried to put it on her again and its still quite tight. Can you order different sizes? How tight are they supposed to be?

Elliott bit and spur can make you one.

If I am correct this horse of yours is only 2. I am not a fan of adding gadgets to horses until they are broke broke in a snaffle. I like all my horses to be soft and supple in a snaffle. When I put my horses on the barrel pattern I try to do everything in a snaffle till we are running, then if need be I will bit them up.

Also I would suggest posting pictures as a horse has to have a very wide bridge of nose for the premade combo sets not to fit and I have a hard time believing a 2 year old is that wide.

I like mine to fit where the bit has one wrinkle in the mouth, then the noseband generally sits in the dish and the sides sit below the cheek bones. The combo part is generally flush with the width of the cheekbones.
