| Why isn't she pushing Movin?? She's just been loping her the last few nights. It's kinda aggravating me Dx. I know that little mare can get some!
Oh and Fallon. Is she gonna hit a barrel tomorrow night?? I seriously wonder how she's made it to the NFR if she's hitting barrels like that. |

I was hoping for both too. But it seems as though Fallon doesn't pick her up and lets her dive towards it. |

Baby Flo has always been a "flat" turner. She may have a bit of a problem getting her past the tubs in the constricted pattern of T&M.
The harder you push one up into the hole on that type of ground the harder the bounce-smooth is fast and Christy is wanting smooth to become fast. The mare can burn no doubt about that. |

Location: MD | Why is it that people place such expectations on these girls and their horses? We all know that they are great horses and jockeys. If they weren't, there would be a whole different set of barrel racers running up that alley, a set of barrel racers who weren't able to get atop that list because these 15 girls won enough to shut them out. What I don't understand is why that seemingly gives anyone the impression that it should be acceptable for anyone other than that contestant, the one sitting on that horse to infer that they are doing any less than their level best each night. Each of us goes into each competitive setting with a different mindset. We each process and interpret things differently. I don't know what any of these girls' mindset, or strategies are and I won't pretend to. What I do know is that they have managed themselves and their horses so well up until this point that they have made the NFR, some of them multiple times now. Based on that alone, I'm sure not going to question their reasoning for doing what they do. I'm just going to tip my hat to them for having reached a huge goal, for having set out on a mission and attaining their goals. They're the ones living the dream and far be it from me to tarnish that for them by criticizing their decisions. |

Very true. I do apologize very much so. They are the top 15 and have worked all year long to get it. Far be it from me to sit here and pick apart there run bit by bit. If they mess up they know what, they or the horse did. No reason for me to sit here saying how they could have made it better. Or question why they're running weird/bad. They've made if farther probably then I ever will. I ride like crap anyway and don't have the exact 'true' to barrel horses I should. So, I to tip my hat off.

Thank you Andy. I wish you had been around earlier when someone tried to say that Mary Burger and Mary Walker were flukes.
My new goal, lose 50 lbs and become a fluke. I don't even care if I can get to Vegas, I just want to turn out the sort of barrel racing machines those ladies have over the years.
I don't care what people wear either, but if they'd let you run, you'd have my vote for best dressed! |

You just let me know when you're ready to take a shot at being that "fluke" Tia. I know where there's a barn full of them primed and ready to help you on your way! Oh....and on that note of making that sort of "barrel racing machines" I do believe your program is already achieving that. I know at least one (now not so little) 5 year old that is sure speaking volumes about what your program can produce! |
