| Or even those of you who bathe......
I don't know about SKM, but if I ever ride again and wind up on any televised event, I am going to be sporting a magic seat AND rubber bands. I've already been told I can't sit the turn on at least one of our up and comers.
You peeps can start 102947376372350 threads bashing me at that point. IF I'm on a horse, going around the barrels again after not riding for all this time, I don't think your opinion will have much credence with me.
ETA: I may see if Depends will sponsor me as well. May have to have some help there too.

However, if you get on TV and are on a horse, I hope you smile all the way to the bank. Because, if you made it that far you **** well can wear and use what you want!

That is good to know. I can be the new face of Depends.........maybe they'll teach me how to put on makeup before they shoot the commercial. That is a skill I've never really mastered. |

Just don't ask us to scrape out your Depends after you go flying!

I had it hand-crafted. When you use those bars, you can't have buttons on your shirt or you might risk exposing your tatas at an unexpected time. |

Location: California | It still boggles my mind that people are picking apart the top 15 in this sport based on attire choices , tack choice , riding styles , etc.
I started off riding doing western pleasure . The whole reason I was so drawn to barrel racing was the fact that we were only judged by a timer. It wasn't about how much silver we had , who had the most expensive outfit or horse . It was you , your horse and a timer. That was it. Then every year for the last 7 years I read these threads doing exactly what so many of us claim we don't like about some other events.
I agree with you KM . IF I ever somehow made it to a large event , the opinion of others on how I got there would not matter at all. I would do whatever it took to make me and my horse comfortable and successful , even if that meant getting mindless critiques from people. At the end of the day people can say whatever they want but they aren't paying your bills. That winning run is .

I was particularly embarassed at one barrel race when I had promised my friends daughter she could ride my horse in poles (hate them) but during my barrel run she thought it would be fun to buck between the 1st & 2nd but unfortunately I wasn't able to hang onto the horn & pinch off my bladder all at the same time. Needless to say self preservation kicked in & I stayed on, my saddle was the unfortunate victim. Luckily it was dark & I had a sweatshirt I could tie around my waist.

Here's what I don't get. It's not the running that puts me in occasional need for a Depends sponsorship, it's the loping miles. And I definitely need a seatbelt on my little mare. Good Lord. Think I may have to stick with my bigger long strided horses...getting older and losing body parts sucks. |

I didn't tell my friends daughter about my little "leak" until after she completed her pole run. She was mortified but it had dried some by then. She still refers to it as the pee saddle. |
