So I looked up his daddy, Frenchmans Feature and there is very little about Taylors success only one little thing at the bottom of the page yet they have set the barrel racing world on fire! I had never heard of him untill this minute. I just thought that was wierd? Wonder if his stud fee will go up now lol?!

I had never heard of Taylor until the NFR. I will admit I am not always up to date on everything but I at least catch a few things here and there.

Taylor has stuck to college rodeo and ammy rodeos where she could rope too. She has never gone to jackpots or big barrel races why no one has heard of her outside our area.  She has been winning since she was little but still a modest sweet girl.

Β That smile of hers that they capture while she's running mach 10 out of the arena every night is cute. She keeps burning them up!

Jayma Jo Shomaker generally always has nice colts for sale out of her stud and she will keep him at a affordable price ! If you look at what she crosses him on her own mares it is usually a running bred mare like Bo's Dam. She has daughters of JOH, Shoot Yea, ect

I have seen Norma Quisenberry run that cremello from the winner's circle page. He's a nice horse from what I can tell.

LOL! Well, in our part of Texas, we have definitely heard of her. The kids that have done Jr rodeos, High School rodeos, College rodeos, or CPRA's in the 2000's know she is always at the top. You should see her rope!!! I loved watching her run Bo at the CPRA's last year, I built my fantasy rodeo team around her! LOL! I also booked 2 breedings to Frenchman's Feature the week before the NFR, because I had a feeling if they didn't hit she would win. And I was afraid he would be booked up fast. Good luck for the next 3 rounds Taylor and BO!!

I see she is in first place in the top gun standings. That horse she rides reminds me of the great Bozo, simply going in and smashing the competition! I hope she wins all the go rounds left! I wonder what the most go rounds won is? Her horse is the best by far this year!

SF Blue Lite Special aka KMart. That horse is a monster.

Someone mentioned that Bo's registered name was changed to Honor Thy Frenchman. Anyone know if that's true & what his original registered name was?

Last spring I went to the barrel bash in Columba Mo, just to watch. I remember a Pali horse blowing everyone out of the water. I looked them up in the little book they give out. It was a Shomaker from TN. I bet that was her

Although the Shomakers do have some really nice horses that I've admired for a long time, I think you have to give some credit to Bo's dam....she is an own daughter of Jet of Honor, who is a stud that has sired the most NFR qualifiers in barrels, and I'd bet the bottom side has as much to do with his success as the top. Kinda like Latte last year.....everyone kept talking about how he was a DFP, who doesn't need any introduction, but I personally ran against his dam and she was a wicked little mare that was almost impossible to outrun. I think you would have seen her at the NFR had she not gotten a career ending injury fairly young. Take Hotshot....his sire didn't sire another decent barrel horse, but if you look at his DAM...she was by a son of Master Hand out of a Talent Bar mare and those lines have produced scores of good barrel horses. I don't think people give enough credit to the CROSS that makes those freakishly talented horses. It's not all the stud.

I think it was SF Helluva Frenchman, but don't quote me on thatΒ That is right. Tim Morris & Jamie Sellers changed his name after they bot him.

I agree with you 100 % Jama breeds to race/running bred mares for a reason
