Location: Bastrop, Texas | I have fallen in love with this horse. He just keeps getting better and better and seems so well behaved and focused. This is his first year, and I think I heard he was initially a barrel horse. Well, he found his niche', it seems to me. Dang if he isn't a good looking bugger to boot! You can see FG all over this boy. He is so quick. |

Location: In a happy place | That is Oate. He started out by belonging to the Petersons....Christie, Chuck and Jordan. He was a stud and they bred some mares to him and got some of the most beautiful babies, then along the way they cut him. Christie started him on the barrels at the same time I started my stud. It was a toss up as to whether either one was going to be a barrel horse but finally one day my stud decided I was boss. Oate never really took to the barrels. I guess he knew best what he was suited for it and it was not the barrels. You have a good eye for a horse Doc. Because to me he is epitomy of what a barrel horse should like. Wish I could talk my friend into letting me have one of his colts but I don't think that will happen. |

I don't know the answer to that question. She may have. |

Thanks!
I was wondering what the story was on him and why he wasn't in the barrel pen. |

Just reread what you said. No this is not his first year at the NFR. He was there last year. |

I think that's right, come to think of it. Joe Beaver said he's a "young" horse. Man he has me itching to swing a leg over him and just go for a few rides! God he's one beautiful, talented horse! |

I also love bulldogging horses as two of the best horses I have owned were in the dogging box..one a hazing horse and the other a doggin horse. They both have hearts as big as Texas, their work ethic is stellar and they both loved their jobs. |

Location: Bastrop, Texas | I think this palomino has outshined the rest by a long shot, including the one who was the bulldogging horse of the year. This guy just behaves and you can see him lock on and wait to be turned lose to go to work. He just accelerates and moves in on that steer like he knows how this game is played. The minute the bulldogger jumps off, he coasts and just comes back for his next job. His power and speed is imcomparable. I get butterflies just seeing him. |

| I do believe the bay horse that Casey Martin is on can also run a set of barrels. |

Location: SE Missouri | They were so fun to watch live! The gray horse absolutely went after the steer when the run was over. Shaking his head and ran after him with his ears pinned. Actually several made passes at the steers. All of them are amazing at what they do. |

What amazes me too is how many runs those horses make and yet you don't see them get sour at the box or get too hot. |

Location: MT | I love him as well. I fell in love with him last year, and this year he is only better. And, yes, the buggar has me looking at "For Sale" ads with FG on the pedigree. LOL Very nice horse. |
