Location: where ever my L/Q trl is parked | Hated mine - it was pretty much the first ones that came out of production.... it was a piece of crap and ME answer to it was talk to Circle Y...... I totally lost all respect for that woman- she endorse the product and wouldn't stand behind it. Circle Y supposely fixed the problem, but weeks later waiting to get it back from them got a saddle 1/2" bigger in seat and the cantle was not right. Have no ideal if the new models are any better. This is my opinion and I do have that right..... |

| from what i understand Cactus has taken over for circle Y on this particular saddle for a number of years. I LOVE MINE!!! ... there is nothing i dislike and every horse i put it on LOVES IT. i would not recommend for a more Thoroughbred narrow slim/high withered type horse though. Gullet is rather wide. It has great shoulder clearance and gives you a close feel to your horse. The only thing i don't like i guess would be i wish the horn was a little taller. WORTH EVERY PENNY they also have a 10 year warranty. |

Something with the stirrups wasnt correct on my Cactus.

Location: Mi | I ride in a Marlene McRae Special Effx by Cactus and LOVE it, not a single complaint. I had a real hard time finding a saddle to fit my mare, after trying ALOT of different ones I bought this one, it fits her the best of any and I tried next to everything, its felt broke in from the very first time I rode in it. Love it and wouldn't hesitate to buy another. |

| Bumping this up... have an opportunity to buy one. Currently ride in a Debra Sibley but I am afraid it is too narrow for him. He isn't a BIG, Bulky horse but I wouldn't call him narrow either. High wither, long shoulder (everything slides back on him). I am so nervous to try another saddle.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. It is a Cactus. |

| It's the only saddle I will buy and ride in! It fits everything I own....from high withered horses to mutton withered. No dry spots! I use a classic equine zone pad under both saddles as well. |

| I actually just purchased a Marlene Eddleman (McRae) by Ammerman. Its an older saddle but had been stored & well taken care of. Fits my horse and me both great! I feel secure and can move up and down as needed. Love it! |

| The gal is being gracious enough to let me try it for a week. Its a long drive to get it. I am just such a dummy when it comes to saddle fit. Ive had my Sibley for so long but I have been considering upgrading anyway so I think this might be a good opportunity.
Anyone ever have any issues with round vs square? This is more of a round skirt. Ive never had one before. |

Was this more structural stuff or design/custom features? I am looking at a pretty basic model without much for glitz and glam. I always felt cactus had good quality leather and products? Ive never owned one but a few friends have some nice saddles from Cactus. |
