German Martingale -making your own-

*pic below* They have it attached directly to the center ring of the breastcollar. Can you do this instead of attaching it to the girth? I was going to make my own and put rings on a pair of barrel reins and use white rope
(similar to what is pictured
). For safety I will use snaps instead of tying it directly to the reins
(similar to the second picture, but with barrel reins
). Thank you!

Haha I have no idea. I was skimming through pictures to make sure I knew how many snaps & rings I would need. I came across the first picture and was curious about that set-up. I guess it would be similar to a running martingale?
