The KEY to a healthy lifestyle is putting the proper food in your body, fast cheap stuff not going to help! Water, protein, carbs and fats are the important aspects of a healthy lifestyle and weight loss....
I get being busy, but I ALWAYS have a snack with me (veggies, nuts, eggs) to keep me fuelled....overall bringing busy is often an excuse and it doesn't need to be to keep healthy food in your body! You dont need to cook a "meal" in those busy times of the day as long as your fueling your body with proper nutrients that's just as good! |

| The most important place to take the extra time is at the store and reading all the labels. That is where you will find what the food industry is putting into our bodies and how deceitful most of the advertising is. Read the labels and take the time to find out what are the good foods and what are the bad. If that is all you have stocked in the house, then that is what you will eat.
When I have quit eating some of those overly processed foods, if I think I'll just take a shortcut and eat a quick meal of it again, then my body doesn't feel good or react well to having that stuff put into it again. It is well worth your effort to set aside the time to educate yourself on what foods are good for you. |

Unfortunately, as women age (I don't know how old the poster is), it doesn't take much of anything to put on weight for many women. Our metabolism changes dramatically over the years. |

Fast food! And a slow metabolism since I was a teenager... I turn 24 in a week and have gained 10 lbs this year! |

I'm with you on the cereal! If I don't know what the ingredient are and they aren't easy to say. I'm not putting it in my body anymore! I fail at this sometimes but for the most part I avoid these types of foods!
Eggs, nuts, carrots, cucumbers, etc.. Have a plan and set yourself up for success. I fail a lot but reading labels will make you think. |

| Absolutely try ACE! It is the easiest, fastest and cheapest ! Works super! Lost 22 pounds and hubby 50 in a short time! We just were not in a position to try to make shakes or special foods. It was truly the easiest weight loss we had ever done! $1/ day is pretty cheap! No speedy feeling either! |

| I agree with the poster that said to take time to educate yourself on eating right and take time to cook healthy meals in advance to eat during the week. Keep healthy snacks with you at all times...apples, nuts, bananas, yogurt, etc. Eliminate processed foods like cereal and granola bars....they are quick and easy but full of artificial ingredients and sugar and won't help you lose weight. If you eat fast food so much get a copy of their calorie counts for the items on their menu and plan out what you will get before you pull through the drive though. Lots of fast food places have lower calorie options. The most important thing to remember when trying to lose weight though is you HAVE to keep your calorie count under about 1500 per day no matter what you eat. You will lose weight and feel MUCH better if you fill that 1500 calories with healthy filling food rather than 1500 calories worth of fat, grease, and carbs. |

| blyellowrose - 2013-12-20 10:42 PM cereal! Great Grains, Honey Bunches of Oats, Grape Nuts, ect. We eat alot of cereal in this house for breakfast and supper! Sugar and carbs and processed...not good, really. I'm glad it works for you but we own a gym, train a lot of people, have personal trainers and dietiticians working with us all the time and this is not something that any of them recommend. Veggies, fruits, lean meats and a smaller amount of grains and the absolute least amount of sugar in your diet as possible. Stay away, as much as possible, from the whites: sugar, flour, white rice and potatoes all of which turn to sugar when processed by your body.
Every morning, I eat a banana and raw, natural almonds or sometimes I make a little trail mix thing of the almonds and raisins plus I have my banana. So, basically, I start my day off with the things that the good Lord himself provided not something that was concocted in a processing plant. I try to keep the biggest part of my diet consisting of God-made foods. My doctor always says that I have the most consistent weight of anyone he ever sees when taking into the many years I've been going to him. My weight stays smack in the middle of the BMI for my height.

Location: TEXAS | zeal! People love the convenience of it. Take a burn pill before meals, drink a shake to replace 1 or 2 meals, and drink the wellness drink for snacks. Use a blender bottle to shake them up and drink. Does not get any easier!! And the shakes taste amazing. Everything is made with all natural ingredients. And the wellness helps with energy and many medical conditions. You will lose weight. Special going on right now for Christmas for the weight management kit!!!!! |

My doctor always says that I have the most consistent weight of anyone he ever sees when taking into the many years I've been going to him. My weight stays smack in the middle of the BMI for my height. Agree with this. I wish I could do the cereal thing but holy cow I would be huge. I'm following a bit of a modified Wheat Belly (there is a book called Wheat Belly that is super interesting) diet (I hate the word diet and I'm trying to make this my new way of living, not dieting). I'm down 4 pounds in 3 1/2 weeks with zero exercise. I considering my riding my exercise but I haven't been riding as it's way too cold and I've been way to busy. After Christmas I will be back riding pretty regularly. Anyway I've cut out as much flour, sugar, grains, pasta, rice, etc. as I can. I will indulge once in awhile with potatoes or a bit of rice but for the most part I eat quite a bit of meat (we raise and eat our own beef and have elk/moose from son's hunting) and vegetables. Wheat belly wants you to limit fruit but that's where I'm not following it as I love, love, love fruit and refuse to give it up.
Breakfast is usually fruit and peanut butter or low fat cheese or eggs. Lunch is usually a salad with hard boiled eggs and a few nuts and a healthy dressing of some sort. Supper meat and veggies. I've found this is one diet I'm actually able to stick with easier. As I can still cook for my family as normal and I just eliminate the potatoes/rice/pasta. Eating out is simple too (other than fast food - which I avoid like the devil) I order steak or chicken and ask for extra veggies or salad instead of a potatoe.
The biggest thing I've found since I started this program is my cravings are almost non existance. I used to get cravings so bad I was like a drug addict. Now hardly ever. The other thing I totally gave up was my coke zero addiction and surprisingly I'm not missing it either since I started this way of eating. I do drink alot of herbal tea now though. If I feel like I'm wanting something I have a cup of herbal tea first and I find that often satisfies me.
You can do this on the go as others have said cook up a bunch of hard boiled eggs. I always have some in my fridge ready. They are high in protien to ease hunger pains and low cal.. I always have nuts on hand and fruit. I've gotten good at packing a little lunch kit with me now wherever I go and I have in it fruit, a container of peanut butter, some nuts, maybe some cheese or hard boiled eggs. Then when I am hungry and need something quick I'm not tempted to go through a drive through (although as I said since I started eating this way even the thought of fast food turns me off).
I guess I basically eat whole foods, try to stay away from anything processed. I feel better, not bloated, no cravings. Edited to add: Watch unhealthy carbs, they are the enemy. I try to avoid all unhealthy carbs at all cost.

I lost 20 lbs this year by Drinking a Atkins shake in thr morning (I use atkins because they have a coffee one and im addicted to coffe). Pack your lunch. I am a big salad person so I pack a small salad or yogurt along with a sandwhich on wheat bread. Then for dinner I like fish and a veggie. |
