Location: Phoenix | I have the most complex skin. I'm pale. My face is mostly tan because of the many freckles but parts not covered by freckles are prone to redness. So I'm red and tan at the same time. Right now I'm using a pressed powder foundation from MAC and it's OK for summer, but winter I need something a little more moisturizing and maybe something with a little more coverage for going out. But, it needs to be LIGHTWEIGHT. Any suggestions?? Prefer a more expensive foundation because I believe they are formulated better and last longer. Thanks! |

| Try the Benefit Hello Flawless foundation. I really, really like it. I normally use MAC liquid, but on the days where I don't want to use something quite to heavy, I use the benefit. It doesn't take much and it seems to last most of the day. |

| Krylon, just make sure you get the flat or semi gloss and do not use crinkle finish.

Location: Jersey Girl | I use a tinted BB cream and then powder foundation overtop. Or you can just use the BB cream alone.
Also make sure you aren't using regular bar soap on your face. I use a foaming face wash and then use a mosturizer. |

Location: California | MAC tends to be drying during the winter for me also. I switched to Urban Decay and will never use anything else. They have a broad spectrum moisture with color in it as well as an AMAZING pressed powder called Naked Skin. They also have a liquid you can use first that stays on ALL day and you can't tell its on your skin. Super lightweight . |

Location: TN | I'm a redhead and have the same exact skin problems as you! lol I use GloMinerals Pressed Base foundation. It covers well while still being lightweight. My color is Golden Light. I first got it from a plastic surgeon's office my mom went to, but since then I've found I can order it on Amazon.com for less money. |

Bare Minerals is foundation. I like it but if I sweat is comes off in big brown drops. |

I've noticed with the people I know who do wear it..it makes their skin look really dewy....but almost oily.
I went to Ulta and tried out the Hello Flawless and ended up buying some. So far, I like it. But, I haven't tried to apply it myself yet! Seems to be what I need....conceals the red but doesn't hide the freckles. Thanks for the tip!!! |

Location: North Dakota | Benefit's liquid foundation is nice. I had a large sample of it that was a bit dark on me, but the consistency was quite nice. Right now I use Tarte's Amazonian Clay 12 hr foundation. I too am pale but have very red cheeks most of the time, and some freckles. It's very mattifying and I like the consistency and color of it. It does look a little funky around my nose/mouth by the end of the day (due to my SUPER dry skin) but I have never, ever found a foundation or BB or CC cream that solves this. Another option is Urban Decay naked skin. I have not used it, but it comes in a million colors and based on the reviews really feels like wearing nothing. I tried a sample on my hand and was pretty impressed. |

Location: Phoenix | I was reading about Urban Decay's Naked foundation but it doesn't have SPF so I went with Benefit, plus, their packaging is so adorable! And she used the POREfessional on me--that stuff seems worth it. Totally made my chin/nose pores disappear for a smoother application. That's next on the list after Christmas!!
Am am really interested I'm Urban Decay's new Naked 3 eyeshadow palette! |

Location: The barn...where else? SW Missouri | I love Smashbox foundation. I have very sensitive skin and it doesn't cause breakouts. I also am very pale in the winter. It's lightweight and doesn't feel goopy but covers really well. I use Studio Skin 15 hour wear hydrating foundation. The color I use is 1.2. |

Location: OK | Mary Kay has a tinted moisturizer with SPF in it. It's a moisturizer with some tint, but not heavy like a base. In the winter I use that and then their mineral powder foundation over it. They have a mineral powder foundation that is loose powder but it IS a base. It covers well. My friend used Bare Minerals and said it made her face sting and itch a little. So she tried this and still uses it. The mineral makeups are supposed to block free radicals etc, so they are kinda anti-aging. The MK MPF is $18 I think. The moisturizer is something like $12-$14 I think. |

Yes with the Urban Decay you have to put the beauty balm on as a primer before the foundation for the SPF coverage.
I definitely reccomend the Naked Eyeshadows , they are very high quality and they may look small but they really do last forever. If you buy the primer for eyeshadow you can use a TINY bit of powder and get a HUGE color effect and it will stay on the entire day. |
