Location: Over by those oil wells, TX | Anyone know a way to get them permanently turned on a double j or do you just have to replace them? If you lose one during a run it's impossible to grab it back with a toe! Love these saddles A LOT but short of using rubber bands hoping someone can shed light on this frustrating subject! !

Location: Mississippi | You could do what is called a Hamley twist on them and they will be turned. Another thing that might help is Walls Twisted and Slanted stirrups. I have them and love them but my saddle fenders are twisted somewhat already. |

Would that hamley be possible with these since they usually wet and wrap the leather ones to do it? |

Location: Mississippi | I do not see why it would not work. Try it and see! :)
Edited to add: If you get the Walls, I highly suggest the three inch bottoms. I never use rubber bands anymore after buying them.

Will try... need to get some latigo to wrap them. I didnt know if that would weaken or compromise the "plastic" to twist them that tight but hopefully it will work. Thx!! |

( wondered if a board buddy sells them?)

Location: The South | I was going to suggest the Walls twisted and slanted stirrups as well! They are great. I love my Nettles too but I've had to use the Walls on a saddle that doesn't have fenders that are turned out as much as I need.
I'm trying to remember where I got them from...my memory is crap right now but I will try. |

Location: The South | I remembered!!! I got mine from runninghardproducts.com, they have free shipping. But Running Roan has them back in stock so they might be cheaper with her in the end. |

| The biothane stirrup leathers on my CJ keep stretching...and stretching...and stretching...I'm out of holes going up, and can't punch more cause I'm out of leather liner that keeps it from ripping out. I'm replacing them asap. |

Thank goodness Double J dont put these on their saddles anymore, hate them things. I bought a used Double J once that had them and took it to a saddle maker friend of mine and had him change them out to all leather. |

Location: Desert Land | I don't do biothane.... It stretches and cracks. I used to use the biothane tie down straps and the protective coating would peel. |
