So sorry
It's never easy that's for sure. But just think, he gets to spend Christmas belly deep in grass in Heaven! It would be an honor to put together a piece of your boys for you.

I am so sorry for your loss. It's never easy to lose your "firsts," and especially hard when something like finding them dead in the pasture happens. It's hard enough making the vet appointment to have them put down...but it's harder for me when you go out to feed in the am and they are just...gone. I feel your pain and my prayers are with you. It's hard losing a great horse.

I'm so sorry for your loss. He was such a wonderful horse for you for a long time. We are never really ready to see them go but you were so lucky to have one like him. I hope thinking of all your good memories will help you through this time.

You're so lucky he did this on his own. That decision to have to put him down passed out of your hands that way. I have a gelding turning 26 in a month. I hope he does the same for me.
Merry Christmas in spite of your loss.
