Location: Where ever there's sunshine! | He is at my folks house in NW FL. I'm not really as worried about where I might need to send him as I am finding someone with a training style that I agree with(i.e-training one at their own pace vs. forcing them to go sooner than they are ready for, soft hands and legs instead of rock grinders and too much bit). I'm sending him out to get a handle on him then I'll be sending him off to be started on the pattern. |

Location: Missouri | Still not quite sure what you're looking for, but I just got my colt back from Randall Davis in southwest MO. He used him on the cattle ranch that he manages and did an amazing job with him. He used to train working cow horses, reiners and even cutters, so he knows how to get a handle on them. Mostly, I wanted mine rode and used, and that's exactly what he did with him. |

I'm sorry i guess i was about as clear as mud :) I'm looking for someone to get him started on the pattern. He's straight off the track so I'm sending him to a man that will be putting a handle on him while working cows with him on a cattle farm. Once he's done there I'll be looking for someone to start him on the pattern. I would love to find somewhere near NC so that I could go and ride with the trainer myself, but I know that isn't always possible. |

Oh, so sorry that I misunderstood! I guess I'm no help then!
Except, what about our BB Geronabean? I don't know her personally, but I *think* she's in FL, and I always respect her opinions and advice on here.
Good luck with your colt! |

| Terri Alexander in Georgia. I have known her for many years, there is no one more honest or hard working. I futuritied with her for years and I put a handle on colts for her occasionally when her barn is full and I know her style well. She does what is right for the horse and will train one right. She will tell you up front if the horse doesn't have what it takes instead of continuing to pump you for money. She NEVER rushes one. Her credentials include multiple BFA Futurity Championships, mutiple rodeo wins; ran fastest time of 2012 IPRA Finals in OKC, etc. The green futurity colt she is currently riding just broke the arena record and won the open out of over 150 horses in a tough open barrel race in Rabun County Ga a few months ago. That colt had been through a few other trainers and came to Terri with some "issues" but Terri brought her around and turned her into a winner. Her credentials are impeccible and you can ask anyone who has ever been a client for references. She is loved by everyone. She is one of those few individuals who can train and jockey. PM me if you want her contact info or look her up on facebook. |
