Location: ND | And I'm beyond happy with it!!!! I started this piece early this fall & ended up setting it aside so that I could work on Christmas orders. Well, when I set it aside I set it beside a fish tank that's in my office.....I've had this tank for a good 8 years & it's never leaked so much as a DROP of water. That is, until the night I set the drawing beside it, apparently a piece of algae clogged the filter & water came out the back of it SOAKING the board. I spent a week trying to get it to dry & salvage it but in the end I lost that fight badly. So after Christmas I started over & here is the final result!

Please tell us I'm in awe of your talent as I have said before. I did take some art classes in high school and college but they all focused on learning different mediums and techniques. Pencil has always been my main focus but I will do an occasional scratchpad piece for fun. More than anything I've learned by doing a ton of drawing and working from the absolute best photos I can find. I did just short of 40 pieces this year for Christmas....the more pressure that is on me the better I work! I should also add that I have THE BEST customers in the world. They are honest with me and if they don't like something or want me to change something they tell me. They come up with photo's and ideas that make me push myself. And more than anything they've stuck with me since I started out, even though years ago my work was not close to where it is now! If it hadn't been for my customers (a large percentage of them from right here on BHW!) I wouldn't have gotten here.

Location: Bastrop, TX | I am always in Awe at the work you do. Absolutely fantastic work. You are so talented it's amazing. One of these days I'd love for you to do one for me of my old mare I put down a couple of years ago at 30 yrs old. I owned her for her entire life, well except for the breeder. I will just have to search for a great photo of her though and it's still very hard to even look at any of them still to this day. |

Six years ago I lost a very beloved mare and when you learned of it you sent me a beautiful drawing of her head. It was a spontaneous act of kindness and generosity to someone you'd never even met face-to-face. I'll never forget that. |

| You did one for me for my husband for Christmas. It was his ropin' horse that died from a twisted gut. It hangs in our living room. We always get tons of compliments from it and I think of you everytime I pass it. Such an awesome talent. I am going to have you do another for my husband soon. :)
