Location: Somewhere around here | Well a few weeks ago I was thoroughly brushing my gelding and while I was at his back legs I checked to see if there was any mud or dirt "up there". To my surprise, I saw a teet. I looked at it for a second, thinking it could've been just a bump but I went over to the other side and there was another one! I'm not an expert on gelding's genitals but is it possible for them to have nipples?? |

They don't seem to hurt him in any way but I don't recall seeing theses on any other geldings I've had before. I've heard that it could be a skin inconsistency from being gelded but that was over two years ago and I figured it would've gone away by now.

It's been like this for a few months now, or at least that's when I noticed them. He's not sensitive when I touch it and doesn't act like it's discomforting him. The bumps are soft too. Maybe it just looks swollen because I tried taking up close pictures of it? |

I was thinking that too, looks like he tore himself open some after he was gelded and just did not have the right care at the time to heal right. |

I can't give any advice because I've not yet owned a gelding. But you can count on LRQHS to make things fun! |

Location: Vicksburg MS | Have you ever noticed nipples on human males? My male dog has nipples,. my male cat has nipples. Why wouldn't a male horse? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nipple#In_male_mammals
Edited to add having seen your photo... obviously what appears to be nipples couldn't possibly be located on his sheath, nor would it be scar tissue from a gelding healed wrong because their testicles aren't located on the sheath. He does look swollen. And it's possible the excess skin comes from possibly being even more swollen, but I'm not seeing signs that he had a huge amount of edema that's now receeding. (ei. dried fluid running down his back legs.)
How old of a horse is he? I suppose if he's older, it could be similar to an older man. Loose wrinkled skin and a saggy, baggy package. LOL

Location: Where the pavement ends and the West begins Utah | He is normal. his sheath needs cleaning and the skin will go back to it's normal self. It's just the skin being stretched because smegma is stopping it from going back to normal. Example pinch your skin and release it goes back to normal. Your just seeing the point of his man hood. Clean him and that will disappear. |
