| Ok, all of the Canadians need to take a collective inhale and try to take this cold back up north!
1, 2, 3 .... INHALE!!
I am in the southeast tip of Iowa and on Monday it's supposed to be a HIGH temp of -6! Real feel -30 to -50 depending on the wind! TAKE IT BACK!!!
I can't imagine living any further north than I do now. Hope everyone stays WARM in the next week or so!

Location: Riding Crackhead. | My biggest complaint is the drastic temp changes. We woke up yesterday morning (Thursday) and it was -30 actual, today a high of 30 but the wind is blowing like crazy and its going to start dropping to -30 again for the next few days. The 10 day outlook is showing 20's by Tuesday. This is really hard on the animals not to mention ME!!! LOL |

I agree 100% - it HAS to stress the horses out. As much as I dislike the cold, I wish it would get cold and STAY that way, or get warm and stay that way - ranging from highs in the 50s to highs in the teens is NOT good. |

Location: Canada | It's -20 here right now and we are expecting another 15-20cm overnight, (considering that we're in southern ontario) we aren't used to cold during the daytimes. |

You have GOT to be sh**ting me...... In Calgary we broke a 112 year record for the amount of snow recorded in the first half of Dec. It seems we get a big dump of snow every 5-6 days but not enough Chinooks to warm anything up to melt it. This is starting to get a little ridicoulous. And us Canadians, we don't start complaining about the weather until it's around -20C. Then we might start moaning. |

Yep it's been crazy in Ontario. I woke up yesterday to -31 plus the windchill and went to bed when it was -6. This morning it was -2. Felt like summer. It's supposed to drop to -19 tonight plus the wind chill again and we are getting 5 inches of snow. We have got so much snow this year we have surpassed our yearly quota already. My horses are getting hit hard. The older ones are ok but my young ones are feeling it. I upped their grain a lot and they get free choice hay. We had such a wet fall too that their coats aren't the nicest so they stay in and get blankets a lot.
We normally don't get snow when it's this cold. It's a strange winter. I just hope it's a fast one.
