I am looking for a place to stay in Texas to run barrels and rodeo for a few months. I am bringing 4 horses and my LQ trailer. Looking for somewhere to board and park my trailer. Possibly interested in short term rental also if there is that option. Any advice is much appreciated!

Josey's in Marshall. We have Canadian friends that come here and stay at Josey's all the time. Marshall City Arena.

There is a place down the road from me that has a covered arena, stalls and hookups. I will have to get the phone number tomorrow. It is 10 miles north of Carthage TX on HWY 59. 20 miles south of interstate 20. Very quiet and you can use the arena. phone 903 392 0101. The owner's name is Mitch Norton. He is our constable so you do not have to worry about anyone bothering you!!!!

Lol I know! I was looking to stay in the Stephenville/Weatherford area but trying to find a place that has openings has been almost impossible so right now I am considering anywhere :). I just want to run barrels and there is nothing up here!

You can call Barbara Hampton & Assoc. in Stephenville 254-968-6226. They manage quite a few rentals around here with horse facilities and they may know of something available.

Warning: Once you get down here, you might not want to go home

Try B&B Cowboy Corner in Stephenville. They have hookups open and I think stalls too. Not sure but I think Hamptons are still managing it for them. You also might try the FaceBook sites around Stephenville. Erath, Comanche, Parker, Hamilton, Hood and Somervell Countyies There was a lady that had rooms to rent with stalls and pens, pasture everything.

Thought of some more places in Stephenville:

Serendipity Ranch has apartments, hookups, stalls, and lighted outdoor...Glen
316-409-3392 Wendy 316-258-5255.

Bond 007 Hideout has cabins, hookups and traps with cover, not sure about the arena situation there. Charlcie Horne (817) 929-9048

B&B Cowboy Corner has apartments, hookups, stalls and an outdoor (not sure if it's lighted or not). It's still managed by Barbara Hampton.

I would give Barbara Hampton a call and see if they have any other ideas for you. They tried to help me as much as they could when I was looking for rentals around here and they pretty much know everybody in town.
