| What do ya'll do with guys that you may haul with or that help you drive but you are not wanting to have crash in your LQ with you? I know girls do have drivers at times, where do they sleep? Any special trailer arrangements or designs to accommodate that? |

Location: Arkansas | I've hauled to college rodeos with other guys (with my bf as well) and they always stayed with us in the trailer on our fold out table or on the bunk beds we had in the mid tack. We all knew each other, though so it was never a problem! If you are not comfortable with them staying with you, they could stay in a motel room or in someone elses trailer. |

Location: North Dakota | Some womens husbands would have a hernie if the driver stayed in the same living space! I think that is the point. I know if I hauled enough to need a driver I would not want to live in the same space! |

| The main one I will haul with I know very well, but we are married to other people and I find that inappropriate in this situation. Just my personal feelings on that! |

| I like the mid tack idea. I am ordering a new trailer so maybe that would be an idea. Thx! |

So the one that your going to be hauling with is a married man and your a married women and neither of your spouse's are going with y'all? Dont seem right, and you dont trust him with money in your trailer? I think you need to find you a female to travel with. |

| Thank you for your advice but nobody said anything about not trusting someone with money and my reasons and situation about who is able to go with me is also not the topic. Apparently I am not as lucky as some and I do not have my friends and family standing in line wanting to go with me on certain trips. There will be other people at times which will leave not enough room in the LQ anyway, but I think we are off topic, I am looking for real options (primarily in LQ configuration) that will accommodate my personal situation and I was curious what others do. |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | I read your first post wrong I thought it said cash, sorry about that. But I would not haul with someone elses husband, would not be right. I have always haul with other women, never a married man, are a single man for that matter. |

Location: Riding Crackhead. | There's a guy around my area who drove an NFR qualifier for quite a while. He's a great guy and I'd hire him in a nano second to drive me if I was going to be hauling hard and yes I'd have no problem sharing my LQ with him. |

| I thought about the cot thing first, but I didnt want to offend .... I am contemplating not putting a full length couch in my next LQ so there would be nowhere in there for extra people to sleep anyway. |

Oh it was nice! we just had the two bunk beds that folded down when needed... bad side to that is it was on the other side of the bathroom and we had to leave that door open so they could have heat/air... so there was a time when I had to go real bad and just told them to not look! lol kinda awkward..... |

Location: Arkansas | Also, depending on how much you can spend, I have seen the super nice trailers that had a bedroom/ living space/ kitchen on the nose side, then a shared bathroom, then a whole other bedroom on the other side of the bath. That would be perfect for your situation! OR! you could find a baby freight with a living quarters/ bed in it that he could sleep in at night... |

cot in the horse area
If we were hauling partners and you told me I was sleeping on a cot in the horse compartment I would tell you to take a flying leap at my arse.

I kind of have to agree with that. If your hiring this guy to haul you and your horses around safely than I'd sure give him a warm/cool place to sleep, nice bed and great food. |

Location: Displaced Iowegian | This whole thread brings up memories of the past....we hauled (sometimes as many as 5 or 6 men/women) together MANY miles in a stock trailer with dressing room and a two seater truck to Midwest rodeos....You never knew who you were going to wake up next to....and NO we were not all married to each other........I have to agree with DD....if I trusted this man to drive and haul with me and my horses, I sure wouldn't have a problem being in the SAME living quarters with him....unless his wife and your husband have trust "issues".....then that is a whole other can of worms! |
