Ok, I need some help…. I am looking to obtain sponsors and fund raising ideas for our series of Reined Cow Horse Shows. I have gotten sponsors in the past for the rodeo/bull ridings that we used to produce. It was easy to get sponsors due to the fact of the large number of spectators that we drew in, seemed to make sponsors realize the amount of exposure their company would be getting.  So, I sold sponsorship more as advertising. Now with the Reined Cow Horse Shows, we don’t draw in a large number of actual non competing spectators. (About the same as a barrel racing show.) I would greatly appreciate any ideas, feedback or info you could give me. We are also open to doing a fundraiser of some sort, but curious as to what brings in the most money…… Thanks in advance!!

We had great luck with a hay raffles and gun raffles.

We made close to $10,000 on the gun raffle. Sold the tickets for $20.00 each or 6 for $100.00 for several months.

Did you get the gun donated?

No, I think we had to purchase the guns up front and then the sporting good store held them until the raffle was over but I'm not sure. I can check into it for you. If you know a gun dealer who you thought would be willing to donate it wouldn't harm to ask if they would donate all or partial!

On our tickets it said that the winner of the raffle must be 18, have a valid state ID, pass the required background check and pay for the background and transfer fees.
