I am looking a mare that possibly has an old SI injury, I am looking to know a little more about it. And if anyone has a horse that successful competes with one. I read the joint doesn't fuse until around age 10....the horse is 7.

My horse had an SI injury. Will always have to be maintained with chiro and proper muscle building exercises to keep the surrounding muscles strengthened. Do you know exactly what happened to her?

Same with us but it went on for 3 years, she would run in the 4-3Ds and be OK but as soon as she was being pushed into the 2D range she would go lame again. Luckily we found a nice family with little girls to take her and give her a good home with a job.
