| I am looking for a supplement out there that will benefit my horses in the long run, but not break my pocket book!
I used to use Corta Flex a while back and never seen a huge affect on my horses. I also tried AE for a while and loved it on my HOT headed horse, but after a while he seemed to be almost immune to it? It affected my mare completely different causing her to be even more lazy then she already is! I have been using straight MSM just to as a maintenance until i find something worth buying.
I need something that i can buy that will help BOTH horses. I need something for joint support and gut support. They dont have to be together!
What do you guys think about the OxyGen Max or Smartcombo Ultra by SmartPak???? Or anything else!!!!

Location: Arkansas | i LOVE all the smartpak supplements. In fact Smartgut Ultra is the only thing that has kept my gelding from getting ulcers again. Before finding that one, I was treating him about twice a year. I thought I would never find anything. I had tried most everything for gut and that is by far the best! With that being said, I have not tried the combo. With the results I've seen with all their products I've tried, I would try it in a heartbreak and be confident that it would help at least some degree. |

Location: My own little world :) | I suggest platinum performance. Although it seems like a large up front cost I think it is worth the money. I feed it with just cheap oats and wet cob and rice bran and my horses are beautiful and sound. I suggest platinum because you don't have to use very much to see a result. For example, when I first put my horses on it I only gave them 3/4 of a scoop and saw a difference in them in a month. I think the suggested amount was 2 scoops twice daily. Also, I love that platinum has such great customer service! That make you feel like they rally appreciate you as an individual. I also take the human granular formula and recently started taking the platinum oaks and notice a huge difference in my energy level. |

How did you get your horse to eat the ultra? (The powder right?) I've had three that will not eat it! I've changed to smartgut which is pelleted and their eating that better. But in talking with company it sounds like they treat two different areas? Hind for ultra fore for smartgut. |

Thanks for the responses! There are so many options to go with. I guess i will have to staet with something nd try it for a while and see if i get any results!
alexblagg how long does platinum last for you?
zanado88 How long have you been using smartpak supplements? They seem so easy to order and i have heard their products last a while? |

Location: NC | I used SmartPak for awhile. Then realized I was spending A LOT of money a month. They're great & really do work. But I switched to THE products.
I feed THE Muscle Mass with ulcer prevent & joint additive. It's amazing stuff. And if you're not interested in the Muscle Mass part of the supplement, their Equine Edge Performance is a very nice product also. BOTH are amazing. And Bob is wonderful. You can ask him anything & he will tell you what he thinks would work for you & your horse. They have a whole mess of supplements and add-ons. You get a CUSTOM formula for YOUR horse.
I asked him about a mare we had just got a few months ago. He actually contacted me a few weeks ago, asking about her. Wondering if she had improved & if there was anything else he could do to help me out.
Seriously. You can't beat THE, hands down.

| I love Oxy- Max but if you don't need the extra gut support you could try Oxy-Gen's Take No Prisoners. Can't go wrong with either of them and they're cheaper than Platinum. Pull up some old threads and read about Platinum CJ....I've used it and loved it as well but I'm a believer of the oxy-gen products. I have several friends who've had to cut back on their Platinum Cj dosage bc it makes their horses HOT. I think platinum and oxy-gen have the best products on the market but neither are cheap. Oh and Exceed 6 way was decent but these others seem to be working much, much better for my horses. |
