Do you leave them on while turned out 24/7? Just ordered a pair for my navicular guy, hoping he loves them!

Yep, my gray horse wears his all the time unless the pen is a foot deep in mud. Then I take them off so I don't have to go find them in the guck. I do need to get a longer strip of velcro for one because he ripped the velcro in half a while back.

I left mine on my mare for about a month taking them off to clean them once in awhile. I do have to say they wear out pretty quickly - mine are entirely frayed along the bottom
(magnets are almost showing through
) and that was only after a month of wearing them. Just watch them closely would be my suggestion, I don't know that there's anything you can do to reinforce them but maybe I'm just not that creative. :
) Hope it helps your mare - I know it did mine
(she was navicular too
) when she wore them!

Making them any thicker in the back does away with the effectiveness. Some horses just move more and walk differently and cause more wear. I have some that are 10 years old and have been used hard. But I have had to reinfoce the stitching some on the bottom. Just need to watch them. Also make sure you don't have them on too loose where the bottoms drag the ground. Some horses are just harder on products that others. Just like some people are harder on shoes than others.

I've had some that are also about 10 years old and they finally gave out and my horse wears them when it's not muddy.
