Our community is putting up a public arena that will host events of various disciplines. I've been asked to research different arena grooming systems. Can anyone tell me what some of the bigger arenas are using. It needs to be a system that can change ground conditions efficiently. The arena will be used for bigger barrel races. We have looked into the Kiser which seems like it may work for us but does anyone have advice for alternatives to the Kiser. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

google Blackwidow arena groomer and watch the video. I own a 8 ft blackwidow and it is a lifetime machine and can make the ground any way you want it. Best of all it is so simple to operate. Black widow groomers are used at Buckeye equestrian center in Az. where all the last 3 big futurities were held, amazing runs and amazing ground, I am a dealer in Las Vegas, Nv. PM me for more info

We produce the Wrapn3 races and run 250-500 plus runners a day.....we have groundhogs and reveal 4n1 drags....we prefer the reveal as you can get by with less tractor weight

We are looking at a TR3. Very impressive tool on video for more than just arena grooming. Anyone used on of these?

We have a TR3 and am not pleased at all, would love to sell it. Does not work on our ground like videos. I will say it would work good for sandy soil, but our ground is red clay and gets a hard pan very easy.

I am looking, too!!
I have caliche ground. Sticky when wet.
I am considering having to have sand brought in..
All I have is a disc, and a grate to smoot.. I'd love to find something that breaks up the clods, and levels, too...

We have a black widow also.  I like it but, we have replaced so many parts, it is basicly new again every 5 years.

Whiteboy I know Neil had problem with the first crew assembling the earlier ones but the guys at the trailer shop in Richfield are doing a great job. Have not had any problems with mine or the ones I've sold, just keep those bearings greased on the clod buster and you should not have any problems.

It was probably the first one they made.  It really has done a great job for us.  I wouldn't buy anthing else.

Porky the blackwidow has two wheels forward of the box and the clod busters act as wheels in the rear, there is a leveling bar in front of the rippers which are controlled by hydraulics and a 2nd leveling bar behind the rippers it has a weight tube above the last leveling bar just before the clod buster. This machine will rip, pack and level ground all at once. It comes in 4 sizes, 6ft,7ft,8ft, 91/2ft, size depends on size of tractor. They are almost idiot proof. Just go to the blackwidow website and it has a video of one working or call me 702-525-9829
