Has anyone had a colt and you just look at them and just have a deep down feeling that they are going to be somthing?? Ok I may be crazy but my husband is like this and I have a colt who is literally not the typical barrel horse at all. But he has HEART which I love but he is little and he looks goofy, But ever since my husband has saw him he looks at him and says "he is going to do great things and be somthing special". Does anybody else have weird feelings like this?

I did with a gelding I have, turns out the bastard hates running barrels though. Good thing he likes cows because he is hubby's #1 head horse. I love him and he has the talent and ability to run barrels, but absolutely HATES them.

That is how I feel about the colt out of my Dash Ta Fame mare. He is put together so nicely and he just has that "Can Do" attitude. Super kind eye, friendly, but respectful (he had one incident of getting too playful and we nipped that in the bud quick and it's never happened again.) Of all the babies I have been around, I really do feel like he has the "It" factor - I get in awe just watching him run, slide stop, spin around etc in the turn out, he's so naturally athletic. I really wish he was a filly and I would not be selling him.

Sure have felt that way. I have a 4yr old filly that was born on a sunny sunday morning about 9 she was up within minutes and full of heck right off the bat. My husband was in with her kind of helping her balance and she tried to kick him before she could stand on her own. She has been a doll ever since, my daughter showed her in halter as a yearling and started her under saddle as a long yearling, my daughter was just 11. We just started entering her and she loves the barrels loves to work, will leave her feed if you come to the gate with a halter. She is fast I can't wait till she is really going we are just taking it easy right now . She is a perfect mix of fire and nice and she already knows her job. I am just trying to stay out of her way !
