For our small gaming series at our house this summer, I am going to do a buckle series instead of nightly high point prizes.  Looking for companies that do good work on custom buckles, but not cost a fortune.  I know, I know...   Maybe $150 or less a buckle?  Doesn't have to be really fancy, just nice looking.

Our saddle club got buckles from KO Trading last year for under $100 each buckle.
Shea Michelle Buckle Designs on Facebook has buckles starting a little over $100 and they can customize anything.
I have also worked with Gist on buckles, and my mom has dealt with Tres Rios and DC Designs in the past. Would recommend any of those companies. We haven't had a bad experience with any of them. I've also got a nice buckle from A Cut Above, a couple nice ones from Maynard, and I have a gorgeous Lone Star one as well. All of them are nice quality, it's just a matter of finding exactly what you are looking for in your price range.
In this picture, the top row is Shea Michelle, DC Designs, and Maynard. Middle row is A Cut Above and Tres Rios. Bottom row is Gist and Lone Star. I know for a fact that the DC, Tres Rios and Gist buckles pictured were less than $120 each, and I am guessing the Tres Rios was in that ballpark as well. Have no idea on the Maynard buckle or the Lone Star one, but I'd expect that Shea Michelle buckle to be at the upper end of your $150 range.

No problem. My mom and I are buckle nerds. We're always paying attention to buckle designs and costs because we've ordered the buckles for several different groups, including the United Rodeo Association which gives out close to 200 buckles a year and a small local horse show association that gives 6 or 7 buckles a year and has a lot smaller budget.

A friend got this one made for an obstacle challenge from Corriente Buckle Co. I think it cost around $120 and the pumpkin was from clipart!!

Awesome, keep em coming ladies!!  If I can spend less than $150 a buckle, that would be great!  I would only be getting 3-4.  So not a huge order, but knew I was going to have to put SOME money out for them!

Usher buckles  - the buckles they provided one of the HS Rodeo clubs were amazing.

We've gone with Lonestar the last couple of years. They have some unique designs.

Don't know if they're in business anymore or not, but yellowhair and champions choice have nice buckles.  I don't know how much they are though.
