I have a mare that will be 15 this year, and I was wondering what do you all do for horses that are aging? She's aging nicely, knock on wood, we haven't had any major joint issues yet. We'll be running almost every weekend this summer, and I'm looking for something to prevent all those problems you hear people talk about with their older horses. Thanks!

We put ours on a good oral and IM joint supplements. I also get them vet checked each year to see if any new issues are slowly cropping up.

I love my older horses :)

Its crazy how fast they go from youngsters to all of a sudden Sr.  I'm pulling my 17 yr old gelding out of the pasture and going to start running him after injuries laid him up for a couple years.  He's a special needs horse so he's on low starch feed and is being started on Platinum Performance CJ.  He also has a PHT blanket that keeps him feeling his best.

My older horses, shoot all of them actually, get ADM SeniorGlo and Aloe Vera juice. My 23 year old mare will start getting probiotics too. Its tough to get old so I make sure to help her out as best as I can. She's also navicular.
