Location: SE Louisiana | Has anybody heard from Jennifer today? I know she has been under an ice storm for the last 10-12 hours.. It will be here soon.. I have to laugh at the people here... New Orleans is under a state of emergency because they might get 1/2 an inch of snow/sleet... I'm 40 miles south of there and they are shutting this town DOWN at 5PM under threat of frozen bridges.. I come from up north where we sometimes have frost thicker than 1/2 an inch.... See ya tomorrow!! |

I'm near Beaumont and they've pretty much shut every road down that has an overpass....unreal....and on top of that, I work downtown in a high rise building and they made us take off work today because of the roads.....I've lived in Portland Oregon and Montana and the guys on the Weather Channel act like we are having a blizzard.....A little sleet and a very few snow flurries......it's hilarious. |

That was freakin funny. Our high here was 25 and it's windy, so I'm tempted to try that myself. No snow...too far north. Boo! |

Amazing to me too. It finally got a little above 0 today. Tomorrow is supposed to be 28 and then the next 10 days low teens. |

Location: Vicksburg MS | I had an appointment at 10 am today to drop off paperwork and do whatever people do when hired on at Home Depot. There was the "lightest" dusting of snow on the ground. So light it all blew off of my truck in the 10 minutes it took for me to drive to the store. And it was for naught... the HR person didn't come to work today. Granted she lives a hour away down I20 in Louisiana, but yeah... didn't come to work. Also failed to let anyone know she had an appointment scheduled with me or answer her cell phone when they tried to reach her to find out what they were supposed to do with me.
The LA/MS 2014 Snowmageddon is one for the record books.
PS School was closed today here in Vicksburg. I have a feeling they'll find a reason to close it tomorrow too due to windchill. LOL

Location: n.c. | We aren't equipped here either. 65 degrees on Monday. Ice coming down now. Slick and frozen. Yuck. Pretty sure I won't have to work on Wednesday, but I'd rather work than deal with ice; supposed to have snow on top at some point. Yah! us. Not! |
