Who has one, what are they like, do they seem to fit a variety of horses?

I have 3 of them and I think they are excellent.  I also have a Caldwell, and I think they are fairly comparable.  I would give the edge to my Caldwell, but they are both very good.  Watch how long they last when one is listed for sale that is used.  Usually they sell fast!

I had a Stoney custom made. I liked it, but I didn't LOVE it. When I spend $4,000+ I had better LOVE it. The tooling was just beautiful, the leather was high quality, it was everything I wanted in a saddle except it didn't ride like a Caldwell (my butt is too accustomed to them). It only fit the horse I had it made for, which is fine because I am realistic in knowing that not all saddles will fit all horses. Different shaped horses fit different shaped trees.

I have 2 and love them! You won't get a better quality saddle and Jim is very informative and helpful.
Drawback, it will take you almost 2 years to get a new one made.
used to ride a coats, but Stoney's are far superior especially in customer service. IMO
