I have been looking at living quarters trailers, and have seen some Lakota trailers that I like the floor plans on........however I have never seen a Lakota trailer in person so I have no idea what the actual quality of the trailer is.
Does anyone have one and if so are you happy with it or not?
Any opinions?
Thanks!

I dont own one, but a friend bought one a few years back, and I was blown away with how nice it is.

Everybody around here seems to be hauling one this year. I haven't heard any negatives from anyone thus far.

Love mine.  Have hauled it for two years.  Use it for when best friend and I go to agility shows and she sets up a vendor booth.  So I haven't had a horse in it yet.  Love the LQ.  They are made a bit lighter in the cabinets, but we never had an issue.  Pulls great!  I get to put a horse in it as friend has found an RV / toy hauler to use.

I bought mine at the end of the summer last year, so i have only hauled it a few times, they are light, well built and very reasonably priced. The only thing I do not like is my tack room is way too small for all my stuff lol.
They have made a lot of improvements with the trailers over the last 2 years, I went from hauling with elite trailers to Lakota- some think that is a big difference but I was not impressed with either of my elites.
I have the three horse 7 wide with the 6ft slide and absolutely love it, plus their customer service is great. The only serious thing i can think of is that the warranty is not transferable from owner to owner, my trailer was used for 3 months before I purchased it and I can not use the warranty- but they have been great to work with the only thing that went wrong with mine was a stove re-call so i just took it to the trailer place by my house and they paid for it for me :)

Are they aluminum over steel, with a wood floor? I may be thinking of another trailer.

I've had mine since 09. There are several things that I have enjoyed about my trailer. My horses all haul well in it and eat well on the road in it, even ones who wouldn't eat in the other trailers I hauled them in. My horses never seem panicked to be in the trailer or fight me to go in. It pulls great! I blew a tire loaded with 4 head and never felt it, nor did it do much damage. I love the ducted heat in the LQ, since we live in UT and need if frequently, lol. There are some things in the LQ I would change, mine doesn't have any pull out drawers or a "closet" to hang clothes. Up until last fall the customer service was amazing. However as we winterized my trailer last year and pulled mats to wash it out for the last time that year, we noticed that we have corrosion going on in the floor of a 4 year old trailer, that is cleaned and maintained regularly. We contacted the company and were pretty much told "oh well, too bad for you" at this point, their warranty and customer service was horrible. As we did a lot of research, I think that the mats in it are partially to blame as well as the fact that there is no way for any drainage. Outside of the whole floor issue we are having, I've been happy with mine.

We have an 07 that we bought used in 2011.  It had very little use when we bought it.  We looked at several brands of trailers as my husband is very picky when it comes to the construction.  He was underneath every trailer we looked at.  This one got his thumbs up and was his first choice.

I have hauled it pretty regularly the last couple years and don't have any compliants.  It hauls great and the horses haul great in it.  I have a 3H and it didn't come with a stud wall, so we are going to put one in this year to help with the storage when I'm only hauling 2.

I don't really  have any complaints except that if I had it to do again, I would go 8 ft. wide with the mangers.  As someone mentioned before the tack area is tight.  It's ok when it's just me, but when I haul one or two others, we are stuffing things everywhere.

Mine has plenty of storage in the lq.  I do not have a sink in the bathroom, but do have a cabinent there for hanging clothes.

Just wanted to add, when we bought ours, I think I was the one of the few (if not the only) one in the area hauling a Lakota.  Within the last year I know a handful of people who have bought them and others looking into them.  They all seem happy with their purchases also.  I know one lady when went from a Featherlite to a Lakota and the other couple went from an Elite to a Lakota.

Am I the only one who noticed the very...ummm...few support beams under the trailer? That alone sends me walking the other way.

Went from Platinum to Lakota and LOVE it!! The Lakota has a much bigger LQ than the Platinum and it is much easier to tow. Have no complaints so far. Customer service has been helpful and the dealer is Super (shinin' B trailer sales in elizabethtown ky) we traveled many miles to get there and passed other Lakota dealers, but we just love their customer service.

IMHO, the trailer  is a middle of the line trailer. Depending on what your needs are, for some, it fits the bill.
