Location: Texas | The best friend of a former co-worker was just recently shot and killed by her former boyfriend. He had protective orders filed against him by at least four other women he had prior relationships with.
Ladies, if you are in the dating scene please run background checks on potential suitors. If you are currently in an abusive relationship please seek help. Unfortunately, a protective order is just a piece of paper when it comes to your safety.
Please keep this family in your prayers while they cope with the loss of their loved one. Hopefully this tragedy will in turn save lives. |

I never had to, my dad always did for me. It was annoying back then, but now that I am grown and married and hear these tragic stories, I totally understand where he was coming from. |

| This is the same reason I ran a background check and googled my SO many times before I went out with him, even though I knew him for several years.

| A couple of years ago a co-worker of mine was shot and killed by her ex-husband. We got off at 7am and by 7:30am she was dead.
She pulled up in her driveway and before she could get out of her car he walked up. Another co-worker lived behind her and she had just enough time to text GUN to him. He walked out on his porch and heard the gun shot. |
