Location: ohio-in my own little world with pretty ponies :) | It's a waste of time for me. Almost as soon as I paint them, they chip so I get acrylics done and keep them super short and have no problems with them. Actually I like them better. My nails used to chip and break when doing certain things but the acrylics are stronger so they don't break. |

| Always paint mine! Just wayyy cheaper than acrylics! Just invest in a really good top coat! |

^^ these are life savers! I discovered them over summer and they work much better than traditional polish for being outside and working with horses. I work at a resort in California where much of the guest activities are at the barn. So not only do we do the typical brush, saddle, ride, load hay, and feed but we also have to look our best for guest who come to get a higher end experience. I loved these! Lasted 3 weeks+ only had one start chipping and had to take off with nail polish remover. Must have to keep the "ranch girl manicure" at bay. |

| I keep mine painted to hide the dirt! I try to just buy a little bit better nail polish and put a good top coat on. They will usually last about a week (or at least through the work week if I paint them Sunday night!) |

I have reasonably long nails, they are super strong so when I do break one I break it with blood :-( .
I loved the stickers too until I used some really expensive ones and they almost ruined my nails.
At the moment I have not polished my nails as I have been super busy but I love doing simple designs and wish I had time to try more complicated ones. My nails are my one vanity not that you would know it today ha ha. |

Location: Phoenix | I haven't lately but if I do anything with my nails I get a gel manicure. You won't use regular nail polish after getting a gel manicure. It does not chip--it's amazing!! |

Location: Cocoa, Florida | I don't personally but if you get a Manicure you should get shallack, it does NOT come off like regular nail polish!! Usually lasts 2-3 weeks or when your nails grow out. |

Location: Dearing, GA | I paint my own to save money and hide dirt. I keep my nails cut ridiculously short. I use a base coat, then the color I want, then a clear top coat. I might touch them up every couple days but if I'm careful my self-manicure will last a week. |

| I wish I could be super girly.
I love the idea of getting my nails done and trying to look cute...
Reality...I am lucky to brush my hair every morning and put on make up.
Hence my name..."Ima no hair style gal."

Location: Arkansas | Id love to keep mine done, but I can't have any type of polish or fake nails while in my program :( they say it harbors bacteria, which I dont totally agree with... but anyways, as soon as I get out of my program, I will be spending more time on my nails and getting away from the "man hand" look! |

I usually get a cute design drawn on mine! I've had zebra tips & I loved them! I love where I go get mine done at and they know exactly how I want them. I'm definitely not a "girly girl" but this is the one thing I do. It's the one thing that doesn't involve horses, kids, trucks, fishing or hunting that my life is filled with! |

Location: Do I hear Banjos? | I do my toes and when I can get the time I love going to have my toes done with the whole spa treatment! But...In my job I'm washing my hands a lot and the polish just doesn't stay any time at all...and I'm too cheap to do acrylics etc.
My question for you all...does anyone have advice on how to get your nails to be stronger? Mine are just thin and break so easily...especially now in winter. I use a lot of hand lotion since I wash them so much...but man...I hate how short they are these days from breaking!
