| I bought a mare and she is due to foal mid May. Shes a dirty palamino kind of like sherri cervi's stingray with all the dapples and dark legs. and the stud she was bred to is a chestnut. Just wondering what you guys think about Peptoboonsmal bloodlines for barrel racing and perhaps if anyone has any ideas what the color of the foal could be?!
Thanks!
Broodmares bloodlines are these

Sires bloodlines (his whole dam side is missing as I haven't got the studs reg to reg the foal yet from the previous owner)

| I like what I can see on the stallions papers better then the mares.
I am not familiar with anything on the mares till sugar bars.
I have seen a few peptoboonsmal grand gets do very well in the barrel pen especially on smaller patterns, they are quick and very agile |

Location: Texas | I'm running a grand get of his right now. They are good horses and very versatile. Most are a little tougher but once you get though the hard shell they will try for you. |

Location: Northern CA | My Pepto filly was slower than slow. She could not run to save her life, but she was quick on feet as far as manuevers and turning around. A little hot, but tougher than nails. She was just too inconsistent for a show horse, but a great outside/rope horse. |

Location: Iowa | A few years ago on a sale there were some nice racing bred mares bred to One Time Pepto (a son of Peptoboonsmal). Would love to know what those babies are doing. Love One Time and would think if crossed the right way could be some great barrel horses. |

| I like the stud papers! I don't know much about the Mare's papers though ...
I currently have a coming 3 yo filly that is a grand get of Pepto on the top side and is a line bred grand daughter of Two Eyed Jack on the bottom. She is solid built, has great confirmation and when put to work she tries her heart out.
I LOVE the attitude she has so far ... as others have said, grit and cat quick are often seen in the grand get. The get also seem to excel in many different show pens ...

Location: Scurry, TX | Peptoboonsmal is a know around the world has one of the best cow horse studs Right next to High Brow Cat i think the Pepto horses have a great mind and kind heart. They will do anything you ask and can do anything you ask Just like any other horse, if you don't train them right it doesn't matter what's on their papers |

Location: LaBelle, Florida | I have a red roan filly who is a granddaughter and I'm about to pick her up from the trainer (put 30 days on her) and start working her. She is 3, not very big (I like'm short), seams very laid back but has some speed. I may play with barrels and see how she does. Her is her pedigre: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/index.php?query_type=horse&h=LFF+FROSTY+RED+VIXEN&g=5&cellpadding=0&small_font=1&l=

| Had a mare who was out of a proven stud out of Peptoboonsmal, so she was a grand get. She was a flashy blue roan too, had a lot of turn, not much run. |

| Both my brood mares are by sons of peptoboonsmal (hes a peptospoonful and bonnsmals kandy man)
They are great mares to be around, I love them, thier foals this year are nothing short of amazing, the one of 100% cutting breed the other was breed run, that filly can really stretch and run I just love her!
I've been lucky enfough to get to be around some direct sons and daughters. I love them all, they could scoot for sure and just nice to be around.
I have heard a couple people say they are slow, but I sure like mine! |

Location: Northeast Texas | I run a grand get of Pepto and she tries her hardest. She excels far better in the Rodeo arena then at the 4/5Ds. She is a bangup Pole horse, and we rope off of her as well. She has all the try in the world and is very loyal to us. I have done everything from cutting, sorting, barrels, poles, roping, to foxhunting, polo, hunter jumper, queens horse, playdays, ect on her and she gives 110%+ all the time. She only stands 14 hands and 1000+ lbs. They make great all around horses. IMO |

| Grand-get as whole are easy going - own sons and daughters are laid back and gritty. I have run into a few flighty ones - but I'm not 100% sure where it came from.
As a whole, I love the Pepto line of horses. They try their hearts out, are calm walking into/out of an arena, and are cat quick turners. They excel in crummy ground and smaller pens as they just plain don't give up. I agree with another poster - they make really nice all around horses and I wouldn't shy away from them at all. |
