I will be the first to admit that I know nothing about these type of bloodlines and what crosses well on them for a potential barrel horse. But I am playing with the idea of breeding this mare. So who would you recommend? She's a palomino. Structurally correct. 15.1 or 2 and heavy muscled. She's a nice mare.

I think Blazin Jetolena would cross really well on her just from looking. You'd get his good old running blood mixed in.

I'm also a huge fan of Firewater Ta Fame crossed on both running AND cow mares. He has a daughter named Stitches Smoke N Fame who won Hamilton this past weekend. My friend trained her as a filly and won a bunch on her locally. Sold her to Lindsay Trammel who has just taken her to a whole new level of competition and is really letting her shine on a big scale. I know of trainers who request babies out of cow mares by Stitch too.

We've tossed around Dazzler. But wouldn't we have a 50% chance of a cremello breeding yellow to yellow?

Best advise, my friend has a broodmare by him and says she is sweet and has good bone. She now has a nice stud colt out of that mare and the stallion panama edition.

I would inquire about Perks Alive. I know he's crossed well on cowbred and non running bred mares but not sure about that particular cross.

I really like my cowbred crossed on First Wrangler. He would definitely give you speed and last I heard he was pretty cheap. I know a lot of people don't like them for barrels, but most I have seen are running bred crossed on him.

I also contemplated breeding one of my non-running bred mares to Lead the Field. Not sure if he's been crossed on anything like that, but Erin is great to talk to!

You'd have a 25% chance of a cremello.  But if you didn't want one, you'd get one for sure LOL.
The last palomino mare I bred to him had a sorrel.  Go figure.
