This is what my horses had to look forward to this morning after our snow storm. They told me they are getting tired of this winter and can't wait for spring to get here and have some green grass. To all you BB that live down south that are riding your horses this just isn't fair anymore. I would just like a day above freezing so we could ride  a little bit. This is northern Iowa this morning.

Oh that really sucks    We have been sunny here in Texas, been working in the yard cleaning up all the dead plants that I lost in the freeze's that we had that was not the norm for us here. Hope that it starts to warm up for you and your horses really soon, they look a bit sad.

We lost our electricity about 9:00 pm last night and just got it back at 8:30 am. House was down to 64 degrees this morning.  I got up and came to work this morning about 5:30 to get warm and open the place up and when the other workers got here I went home and feed the horses. This was a picture from the highway.

Ha - I keep my house at 58 at night and during the day when we're at work, 62 when we're home, so 64 would have felt nice! (I keep it so low due to the high propane prices). BUT, you have snow - I don't, and that's quite OKAY with me!

I can't imagine that kind of snow and cold. Good grief, I don't even want to be outside when it's below 30 much less negative temps. Y'all are tougher than I am. Give me the 100+ degree days. I like them.

My horses would die. They are screaming for their blankies when it hits the 40s.

You know you're in deep when the snow plow gets stuck… Nasty here in northern WI too.

My horses had crawled through the fence and were out digging in the alfalfa field this morning after the snow last night.  Their pasture is getting deep and the snow was much more shallow on the alfalfa so they decided to help themselves.  They apparently thought they were starving so the girls had to feed them extra hay to make them happy.

UCk! After 7 years in SD and another couple in WY ... I'm not missing the tons of snow now that we are living in KS. We were cold this morning compared to the last week but I don't envy the snow you all got! Hang in there, it will warm up eventually and we'll all be complaining about heat and bugs!!
