Tell me what you think! Have you done it? Was it pretty easy to stick to? Do you lose a decent amount of weight? I'm thinking about starting it. I bought the book and it should be here tomorrow. It seems like a good idea and a way to try to get away from all the counting and what not that goes along with other diets. I kind of plan on doing Paleo and trying to just apply that to my daily life...so instead of a "diet" its more of a lifestyle change. Let me know what you all think please :)

I went paleo for health reasons - started with a whole 30, felt great, and have continued to live life that way! If you are disciplined enough it can be very easy. I've learned to get a lot more creative, and I don't ever feel like I'm missing out on things.

Here is  thread to check out, I have been Paleo for some time now. It is an easy lifestyle once you commit to it, but you have to really commit.

I will say if you dont prepare you will not succeed at it. I spend most Sundays doing meal prep for the week. You have to cook and be prepared.

I've been on the Paleo Lifestyle for almost a year. It is now how I eat. I found breads, pasta, sugar and artificial sweetners were the cause of my weight gain. I have lost 30 pounds that came off pretty quickly. My body is still changing.

I'm doing a partial paleo. I don't do extremes but I did lose 17 lbs in 2 months. I'm kind of stuck right now so I'm going to do some walking! I cut out all white rice potatoes cereal pasta etc. I eat a lot of fruit and nuts and eggs.bright colored vegetables. I did not cut out cheese and I do eat some Greek yogurt. I feel better than in a long time. My husband recently had a terrible arthritis flare that he never had before so he is trying it too. I also bought gluten free mixes such as cornbread and brownies and they are really good and don't cause me bloat. I used to feel bloated and puffy all the time. Speaking of bloat- I also cut out beer except a little when I'm playing 42!!!

Awesome! Thanks for the feed back. Yea I had a baby last summer and I was doing pretty well getting the weight off and then when the time and weather changed I just packed it all back on. I am about 40 pounds overweight right now...well at least 40 pounds above where I would really like to be. And I just feel tired, fluffy, and puffy all the time! Even while riding I just don't feel as comfortable as I did. I can feel my belly fat and love handles squishing around and its just awful. I have to get this off! Sorry for the vivid descriptions but its not comfortable at all. Do you lose weight pretty fast? Not that I want a quick fix but I was just curious. I really just want to change my lifestyle so I'm not doing this yoyo thing anymore.

If you cut out processed foods you will see the weight fall off.

Most of the gluten free mixes are packed full of calories so you need to limit them to lose weight. I'm a huge fruit eater and they are also full of calories because of the natural sugar in them. At this point..I just care about not feeling hungry so I don't limit them but if I decide to try to drop more weight..I will.

Love Paleo, it is easy, lots of great resources for recipes.  No processed foods, my knees don't get sore anymore from working out.  All the junk causes internal inflammation.  Since going Paleo 3 years ago I have only had 1 cold that lasted 24 hours.

If people only realized how the junk food and the hidden ingredients in processed foods do affect their health they wouldn't eat it.

Yep, no processed and junk food is the kind of health care reform we need :)

Paleo is based on how caveman would of eaten so potatoes wouldn't of been on the menu....no grains, dairy, legumes...and there is more but I can't recall!

I'll also add gluten free does not always mean healthier option....

Isn't that the truth!!!! They have to replace gluten with something...it's not usually a healthy replacement!

Yes they are high caloried but we WILL have a little cornbread with our nonpaleo beans in this old house ;) and our black eyed peas too. Some things just gotta have! But we have cut out so much processed and junk and added more vegetables that I think we're much better off than before even tho it's certainly not full paleo. ( we don't have beans every week!) really I don't know how a bean could hurt you too much, but they are not on the paleo list!!
