Where would be a good place to meet someone with a trailer to drop off a horse (basically move from one trailer to the other)?  Easy to get to with a trailer?  Any restaurants with big parking lots?  Would it be better to go back toward Decatur?  Or I know there is the arena in Alvarado...but I'm thinking there gonna be on the north side of Ft. Worth so not sure if they wanted to come south...

Some good friends from Amarillo will be in Ft. Worth and are going to take my gelding back to Amarillo with them.  We're just needing to find a place to meet up.  I'm from several hours south of Ft. Worth.

Are y'all wanting to eat after switching the horse? I might know a few places around Burleson. Walmart parking lots are also usually good options.

Well, we haven't seen them in a while so we thought we might try to eat lunch with them when we made the switch.

There are TONS of places, but we can help be more specific if you have a better idea of where exactly you'll be. Fort Worth is pretty big

How about Cabela's?  They are North of Fort Worth so you can avoid all the downtown traffic and they have a restaurant upstairs.  Huge parking lot, always big rigs parked.  Right off 170 and I-35.

There is a Mercado Juarez on Northside Dr right off 35W/287. It has a nice, big, horse trailer friendly parking lot. Lots of people stop there to eat after the Stock Show parade with their trailers. They have great Mexican food!

I don't know of any big parking lots down there except Billy Bob's. Traffic sucks and it's not very horse trailer friendly.

Really? How about that HUGE parking lot right behind the pens where the longhorns are. The one the rodeo contestants park in? Its within walking distance of all the restraurants and weve never had any problems getting in and out.

Smith Brothers right there on  I-35 North of Fort Worth in Denton.  They have a big lot and out back they have a large area to walk/graze the horse and even overnight covered pens you can put the horse in to let him stretch his legs a bit while you go shop. (no charge for the pen...just clean up any mess)   7833 Interstate 35, Denton, TX 76207

You're right, would not do this unless it was the last resort.  You would have to drive into Fort Worth on I-35 and then work your way over on 28th street to Main. Skinny roads and still lots of traffic.
