| Ok is this normal? My filly was born 3-15, she is healthy everything seems good but her tips curl back, I was just wondering if this is something she will grow out of or permanent. The pictures don't make it look as bad as it really is, sometimes when she looks at me it almost looks like they are in the shape of a heart.

Location: Kansas and loving it | I wouldn't be too worried. My filly looked like she had a smaller, crooked ear last year. I think it was how she laid in the womb. 2 months later, both ears perfect match. |

| Pointy ears!!
My first broodie put those ears on all her foals to one degree or another. They do ease up a bit on the inward point, but to me these are perfect ears. They add a bit of beauty to a horse, imo. Here's a pic of Zan all growed up and what your foals ears should look like when mature:

Location: When you hit the middle of nowhere .. Keep driving | I had one that did that, I wouldn't be too worried and it gives them character! My German shepherd had to have his ears shaped with pipe insulation and body bonding glue too. She's cute. |

I see nothing wrong with her ears, they look normal. So please leave them alone,

Location: wherever my daughter's running | First, I love them and would not change a thing. Second, I would think they will change some one their own. We had one born with one of his ears looking a little deformed - not cute like yours. Vet said it was from his position in the womb and would take care of itself. It did and you would never know it to look at him now. Congratulations on such a cute foal. |

Location: Texas | Every foal we've ever had born on our place has come out with ears just like your filly's and they all straightened up in time. No need to worry, just let the baby grow. |

Location: Gainesville, TX | She is cute. There is actually an Indian breed that is bred specifically for this characteristic, though to a much more dramatic degree. Meet the Marwari.
