Location: Texas | Husband and I are expecting a baby and we are almost 15 weeks. YAY! I want to have a few names lined up first because I'm a control freak and second I will be the only one who doesn't know the sex.
We have girls name picked out
Julie Lynn Wade- after his mother. She suddenly passed away last year in Feburary.
Clara Rose Wade- just because I like it
The issue is the boy names
I have picked out VERY traditional names such as (the middle name WILL be Dean after my Dad)
Liam
Clancy
Kelly
Ashley
Leslie (lez for short)
Virgil
Hamish
Lawrence (larry for short, also my dads name)
Again very tradition names
He likes Wyatt
I'm not naming that kid Wyatt, remington, axle......I don't like biblic names or names you hear everyday.
I want something different. He doesn't care but shoots down all my name ideas.
ETA what I mean by control freak is I like to have everything organized and ready. I'm not a control freak of what his name is. I know I've got a LONG time before baby gets here I just wanna be prepared for when that happens and be able to enjoy the rest of my pregnancy without stressing about anything....or at least that's my idea haha
Please help before I strangle him LOL!! I'm kidding about the strangling part.

Location: MN | I'm feeding and putting my boy, Liam, to bed at this moment so I'd vote for that one! It is a popular name lately by national stats but actually isn't overly common in my area. My other son is Gabriel. I also love Travis. If we would of had a girl her I had picked out Devyn/Devin, which can also go for a boy. |

Oh wow I didn't know that! You never hear Liam around here.
Everyone around here is Wyatt or Levi or Remington. I know one lady who got real creative and name one of her sons cashmoney :) that or very biblical names such matthew johnathon ect ect. |

Wade was going to be my vote, but it looks like that is your last name. Wade is my maiden name and it was only me and my sister, so I wanted to "carry on" the family name if we have a boy. I have always liked Landon and Garrett too. |

(Hubbys a party pooper and wants to know lol) I'm hoping I can hold out that long. Lord knows ill be pestering pwople to tell me lol but I really want it to be a surprise and a mystery. At least for a little while :)

Location: If I ever get back to Oklahoma..... | We have two boys - one almost three years old and the other is nearly 7 weeks. Both times my husband shot down all the names I liked. The first we didnt decide on until the week he was born, and the second the day before my csection. I believe you need a couple options and have to see them before you name them.
Our boys are Shaun Monroe and Chance Steven. Both middle names are family names. Monroe is my husbands great uncles middle name and Steven is my husbands dads name. He unexpectedly passed away in January 2012. |

so if your set on dean wade i would go with two slables or at least two part names to go with wade... li-am wade, Clancy Wade..... they roll better
if you want a couple new suggestions that are not biblical or main stream how bout wilson, harison, tyson, alan, darren, and charlie |

I agree with this 100%.
Also, this is my person opinion but I don't like names that are part of the last name or that rhyme. Example Andy Anderson and John Johnson. I know people with both of those names and it just doesnt sound right. My last name is Mead and someone suggested Reed and I almost threw up, Reed Mead.... I'm not pregnant but we like to talk about baby names. Lol |

This!! This is what Ive been trying to say but didnt know how to.
One needs two Syllables. Thank you!
I agree I like Gage it just didnt roll right.
Clancy and Liam to me goes better with Dale (hubbys middle name) but traditionally the middle name is used from the womans family to honor them. Or carry on a name. Im so dang stuck lol
I really like Harrison. And playing off the Darren, what about Darrel? |

Aw congrats on your new baby boy.
Im the worlds worst at letting something name themselves. It took me two week to name my last dog. Since i dont want to wait to weeks to bring baby home i figured the same way. Good to have a few choices to pick from LOL! |
